It's been quite a while since I last wrote. Several months, or perhaps even a year. The measure of time is irrelevant. The holiday season has arrived yet again, with its horrible, loathsome mirth and joy. I suppose the only thing I have to look forward to is the arrival of our annual feast tomorrow evening. I could care less for all the innocuous and gratuitous festivities that come with the season.

Imagine waking up to find yourself lying on the cold, wet floor of an abandoned prison. The only other human that you see is dying of blood loss.
