Can we please talk about how tense Regina is in this scene?

Her anger and frustration with being STUCK in Leopold’s castle literally emanates in her body language. Her dread, her despair, her rage with the marriage and life forced upon her has taken the place of any prior innocence we once saw in the young woman riding through her childhood home’s fields.

The Dark One is only annoying her to no end, and it’s because he knows that he can just push her farther. It’s upsetting, because the Regina we see here still desperately wants to be good - but all she wants is to be free. Magic is not granting her the true freedom she desires, nor the one she had been promised.

Her entire form is clenched into a ball of suppressed and powerful fury, and it all has to do with her miserable life as Queen.
