Drama & Romance both run in Annalise’s blood. Her father was an author, fairly well known for his steamy supernatural romance novels, and her mother was an actress - or at least she claimed to be. Despite her constant preening and bragging, Claudette was never truly a leading lady in any show, and was mostly known for being the wife of Lucian Germain.

Annalise is a passionate individual who feels everything and anything deeply and intensely. Her emotions are strong, and they fuel most if not all of her decisions, often and easily overriding her common sense. She strongly believes in love and romance and fantasy, and has always dreamed of finding The One and living happily ever after, just like the characters in her father’s stories and her mother’s plays. She’s dreamed of her wedding her life.

But life seemed to have other plans for her. When she was sixteen, her family home burnt to the ground, and young Annalise was the sole survivor - miraculously, barely harmed. She was taken in by a neighboring family, who had always been friendly with her parents, and swiftly fell in love with one of their sons - seventeen year old Landon Abbott. Their love, like most young love, was passionate and reckless and brief. Annalise was only seventeen when she discovered she was pregnant, and the pair decided they would run off to elope. Their plans were tragically cut short mere hours before their makeshift wedding, when the pair ate a tainted meal, and Landon fell deathly ill, and eventually succumbed to food poisoning.

The loss was devastating for Annalise, but two years later, she found love again in a handsome older rancher. Jules Casal was a handsome, horse loving family man, and Annalise was certain she’d found The One. They dated for a year and a half, before Jules popped the question. She was thrilled, of course, but she was once again robbed of her wedding day. The newly engaged couple were out riding, when Annalise’s horse was spooked and she was thrown to the ground. Jules rushed to help her, and was dealt a hard kick to the jaw. Annalise walked away from her fall with only scratches, but Jules was killed instantly.

Three years later, she was abducted by an alien named Zereneus. Though initially quite shocked (she’s fairly sure she fainted at least three times), she soon found that he was quite charming, in an awkward sort of way, and with surprising speed, the pair were expecting a child and planning an inter-dimensional wedding. They’d only been dating for six months when his spaceship crashed into a mountain with the happy couple on board. Zereneus perished, but once again, Annalise walked away with only minor injuries.

Two and a half years later, she met a German sailor named Albert Burgstaller, and her luck finally seemed to run out. Albert was sweet and daring and adventurous, sweeping her off her feet with tales of mermaids and pirates and secret islands. He had a tendency to come and go from her life, sailing away on a whim, but always returning. It took three years for Annalise to convince him to marry her, and they sailed out on his boat to say their vows. The storm was sudden and fierce, catching even the experienced Albert off guard. This time it was Annalise who met a tragic end, thrown from the boat to drown in the choppy waters, dragged down by the weight of her wedding dress.

Annalise isn’t sure whether she’s cursed, or perhaps just an extraordinarily lucky woman who tends to attract the unluckiest of men. All she knows is that she still wants nothing more than to find love, and finally get to say I do. Perhaps she’ll finally find that with William Gracey. At the very least, neither of them will die.

Additional Facts:

Annalise had a twin brother named Alphonse, an older sister named Harrietta, and a younger sister named Estelle, but they all perished in the same house fire as their parents.

Annalise has two daughters. The eldest is Adelaide Germain, daughter of Landon Abbott, and the youngest is Zoey Germain, the half alien daughter of Zereneus.

Annalise can speak fluent English and French, and some rusty German.

Annalise wasn’t Hydrophobic before her death, and actually rather enjoyed the water and the beach.

Some traits that also suit Annalise’s personality: Over-Emotional, Artistic, Cat Person, and Supernatural Fan.

Those green tips aren’t hair dye. She’s distantly descended from a minty berry sim.

No one ever calls Charlie by their full name, except for their parents, and most people don’t even know it. They don’t mind, though. They like things that are short and simple. It was always easier to say Charlie than it was to say Charlotte, anyway, and they always had a hard time introducing themselves. Charlie dealt with Selective Mutism throughout their childhood - an anxiety disorder that hindered their ability to communicate.

Thanks to the loving support of their mother (and the more ... awkward support of their father), and a lot of good therapy, Charlie has learned a lot about managing their anxiety, and considers themselves to be in a pretty good place. They found, and still find, a lot of comfort in the company of animals, and have a particular fondness for both snakes and pitbulls. Though they’ve gotten better at handling their social anxiety, they’ve yet to overcome their hydrophobia.

Charlie is still a quiet person, not speaking much and seeming rather stoic, but they’re actually quite friendly and enjoy the company of other friendly and fun individuals. They like people who are more talkative than them, because they don’t feel so much pressure to fill the silence.

Charlie has had stomach problems for almost as long as they remember, and a lot of foods make them feel ill. Because of this, they’re loosely vegetarian, and avoid a lot of heavily processed or sugary foods, keeping as healthy and natural as possible.

As a teenager, Charlie fell into a rough crowd, following their two close friends into trouble and a criminal career. They had a bit of a wake up call when their friend was sent to prison, and turned their life around. Today, Charlie is a law abiding citizen, with dreams of an athletic career.

1. Personal Information. Age, gender identity, species, place of usual residence.

Forty-two. Oh, no, no I’m sorry, that’s how old I was when I died. I’m much younger now. Um - twenty-six! Yes, I’m certainly twenty-six now. I couldn’t really tell you how long I’ve been bouncing around, though, that’s far too hard to keep track of. A few centuries, at least.

Oh, I don’t really know what I’d say my gender identity is. It tends to change, you see. In some lives I have stronger feelings about my gender, but in this life, I just don’t have much of a feeling at all. I can’t quite tell if I have no gender, or if I’m all of them. I hope that doesn’t seem confusing. I do like the sound of she/her pronouns, they just seem ... flowy? ... to me. But I’d also say they/them pronouns are the most accurate to me, so I answer to both.

I’m living in Midnight Hollow at the moment. It’s quite the odd and unique place, which suits me quite well. In a place where everyone is strange, being strange is ... well, normal.

2. How would you describe yourself? How would your friends or family describe you?

That’s a bit of a tricky question, isn’t it? Knowing who are and how people perceive you is a lot harder than you might think. I think I would describe myself as ... lost. I’ve lost track of who I am, and I’m trying to find myself again. I think my parents would describe me as ... difficult, and distant. I haven’t spoken to them in years. We were never much alike, and didn’t really see eye to eye. Jack and Kara like to call me stiff, but David says I’m creative. That I have potential.

3. What is your favorite genre of music? Your favorite color? Your favorite word?

I don’t think there’s a genre of music I truly dislike. Even if a song isn’t personally to my taste, it doesn’t mean it’s a bad song. Different music speaks to different people. I suppose I do have a weakness for the classical, but I’m also rather fond of jazz. My favorite color is orange, of course, I think that’s quite clear. And my favorite word ... is mellifluous. Having a smooth, rich flow - a mellifluous voice. Filled with something (such a honey) that sweetens - mellifluous confections.

4. Romantic past?

I prefer not to think of these things. There have been many people, in my many lives. I’ve been married, had families, had my heart broken. But anyone I have ever been involved with is long since dead, and there has been nothing worth mentioning in recent years.

5. Do you have a criminal record? Are you repentant about it?

Not in this life. I’ve been very well-behaved, I’m proud to say. But that doesn’t mean my past is ... entirely clean. I’ve lived a few lives I’m not really proud of. I’ve been a criminal, and a corrupt businessman, and homewrecker before. I’ve come to regret the person I was back then, and I hope to never stoop to such levels again.

6. Why did you enter this BC? Are you nervous? What do you hope to attain?

I hope to find myself again - or at least, begin to. I wouldn’t say I’m nervous. There isn’t much I haven’t been through. How much could a simple BC really throw at me?
