because we are birds we do have bird like appetites, so for example, we do eat a lot of meats and fish. as much as we can, anyway. with the great sea becoming more and more inhabitable, the fish get worse and worse. the good fish we find are usually rotten.

we try our best. there are a few cultural dishes, and practices we do with those dishes. there is a practice we do where once every few months we each are tasked to going to a different island and bringing something back; and our elder women prepare it into a feast. i could talk alll day about food!

me and my dad have kinda a rough relationship. he’s a perfectionist and doesn’t understand that i am not exactly like him. when medli, who is only a year older than me, got her wings and therefore went into puberty before i did ? he threw a fit! because iiiii was the man, iiiiii was the prince. i’m supposed to ‘set an example.’ medli had her adult wings before i even had my youth wings, and that caused a lot of ruckus. he failed to understand me and my fears and tried to sacrifice myyy safety and myyyy life in order for me to be ‘perfect.’ there were monsters!!! in the cave!!! that killed my memaw!! he called me a lot of things to link :( and instead of coming in, sitting down with me??? he sends me a LETTER ??? A LETTTTTER???

we only started getting along better when i got my scale and therefore hit puberty, got wings, etc. and i was a born natural, you know being prince and shit, but at that time the respect that he had for me then came from me being the perfect child he wanted. not from me being me, which i wasn’t!

my father treats medli like she’s some divine being. which, i do too. cuz she is. she’s like. amazing and pretty and the only person other than link that ill actually listen to. she’s valoo’s attendant, was highly respected by my grandma, and she’s kind of sort of highkey everything i wanted to be. she’s so strong and brave :( and my father thinks so, sometimes he thinks that i get distracted if she’s in a room cuz im worried about making her laugh or something but he doesn’t blame her. he blames me.

he thinks that she’s a good influence on me. which i agree. she is.

my dad considers quill a close friend and buddy. hes super reliable and really racks our numbers up with the mail. also, his previous friendship with link kinda gave us an advantage because it made link wanna help out and he was the one who was able to warn us about all the … weird shit going on. my dad really likes him. and i do too!

for the most part, yeah i do. some of them don’t put in as much work when it comes to delivering mail and it kind of throws off our numbers

i have my favorites. FAVORITE singular sorry. and that’s medli always will be. she could do no wrong.

i have a rough relationship with my father, but i try to get over it as i get older.
