Lyanna Baratheon
The Forgotten Princess
In the year 305 AC Lyanna Baratheon and her lover, Sandor Clegane were found guilty of treason and executed days apart from one another.
Although most of the realm did not know her, she was mourned by many not because of her title but because of her story. She did not want the throne, in fact she did not want to be known as a princess. She just wanted to be happy and live her life with the people she loved.
It was said that the were she was told of her execution, she cried and begged the mad queen to let her live. Her cries could be heard throughout the walls of Winterfell and her prayers could be heard by all who lived there. Despite this reaction on the night before her execution when the mad queen asked her if she was ready to die she replied, “if it must be done.” The mad queen asked the princess if she did not fear death and all she said was, “I have lost my father and my mother, I have lost my uncle and cousins and now you have taken my husband from me. Now the only peace I can find is in death.”
