Allison’s eyes went wide for a few seconds before her father confirmed that he’d only been joking about actually using the ideas for their own house. “Things are pretty good,” she started, small smile forming as she continued on. “Work’s been keeping me pretty busy, but I’m enjoying it. Hopefully people will be a little bit smarter this Halloween, though.”
Between holiday hijinks and silly pranks, it was safe to say that October 31st wasn’t the paramedic’s favorite day of the year by any means.
“Good,” Owen said smiling at his daughter as she spoke about her life and how busy she was, “yep, ain’t that the truth. The medical life does keep us all busy.. but as long as you’re still enjoying the role, that’s the main thing.. And I wouldn’t count on it. Holidays bring stupid people together under one room or space. Some of my best surgeries have come from Halloween”
