We took our backpacks this weekend to the woods in Torrekulla wilderness area close to Sisjön. We had backpacks, hot chocolate, sleeping bag/ mat and a nice fire. It kept the children warm and happy all day :-)

Combining vacation at sea and hiking in December ? Then we can warmly recommend Gran Canaria. Located at northwest of Africa it offers great weather and beautiful mountains with a mix of desert, wild western nature and green mountains. We really recommend to rent a car and drive around the island. The red lines are the different areas we visited.

Year 2012 I won a photography competition and the price was a hiking trip to the french alps close to Geneve. My wife wasn´t able to join, recently giving birth to our daughter, so I asked my childhood friend Martin to join and he gladly accepted :-) The alps were truly beautiful and challenging with steep hills.
