bound-to-paradise:
Unfortunately this girl would be wrong, as quite a few invaders have deliberately made their way into Gensokyo with selfish intentions. This isn’t exactly a place that’s well known to the public, and Yukari wishes to keep it that way. Should the knowledge of Gensokyo’s existence fall into the wrong hands, the results could be disastrous. Hence why Yukari goes through the effort of silencing anyone she can. Especially humans who have been spirited away.
Hearing the girl give out information about herself though, it’s not completely unbelievable, having heard and even witnessed even more ludicrous stories herself. But she’s never heard of an ancient race on Earth called the Ascians, so this girl truly must come from a different dimension altogether. Yukari can’t help but be a little in awe by this, seeing as for the longest time, the only other person she’s known to come from another dimension altogether is herself.
“So what I’m hearing is, you’re not of this world altogether. Not from Gensokyo, or even the world outside.” Yukari rests her hands on her lap and finishes her response with a smile. “That sounds pretty anomalous to me, yet you deny this? Why? When it’s possible that you may not even be human in the first place?”
I was aware of the existence of parallel worlds in my own universe, but it seemed like this Gensokyo really wasn’t part of my own world, specially when this woman didn’t know about the Ascians. There was part of me that was scared of admitting that maybe my powers went too far if I managed to get to a totally different galaxy altogether, and even more scared I was of thinking how I was going to accurately go back to my world if I still didn’t get the hang of my powers.
It was something to think about later, but for now...
“I can live like a human even if I’m not technically one...you see, I was made aware that in my previous lives, I was killed, even if I can’t really die permanently...I guess I just want to live a normal life this time instead of trying to continue having the same goals I had before.” I made a pause and deepened my frown, even if I left a soft huff that made my shoulders to relax a little.
“Because I found something precious in the world I was reborn in, I want to go back- they may need me. It’s not really that deep, I guess.”
“As to why I also deny my condition, however, people in the place I come from tend to really dislike what I am. I may be different for choosing to live life differently for once, but the bad fame is still out there for sure. It will be some time before people get used to that...if they even find out what I really am.”
