i've spent the whole afternoon (and night almost by the time it is now) trying to put every single sim from the families related to my sims in my big old save family tree... and i just... stfu... it's ridiculous 💀🫠

here's some random facts about Joel and Becca, the guys from my main save + the story of how they "met" cause i think i've never told it

✶ Becca and Joel have known each other since they were kids (their moms are best friends) but Becca is a few years older, so it wasn't until they were teenagers that they actually clicked and became best friends and mischief buddies. then, at 18, Becca enlisted and moved to Strangerville on her own. Joel stayed home, working at his dad's company and living his very comfortable little life with mom and dad always right there lol her leaving finally made him admit that maybe he was a little bit in love with his best friend... and also that maybe it was time to do something crazy for once. so he packed his things and went after her 🤷‍♀️ first time away from home, no mom and dad to fall back on, first little house together... basically the moment Joel finally started having an adventure of his own. they stayed in Strangerville for a couple of years before coming back and going to university together. and well... you kinda know the rest

1 ✶ they have a giant mirror that was the reason for their first fight as a married couple. Becca found it at a market in Selvadorada and decided she absolutely needed it. Joel pointed out that a giant mirror and their tiny apartment were not exactly compatible... anyway, Becca won. the mirror has followed them through every move since. their whole house is a bit like that, actually –shells, snow globes and random little souvenirs from everywhere they've lived or visited. basically a scrapbook of their life, but with more dust

2 ✶ Becca has 21 visible tattoos. Joel has 4. he has their girls' names on his wrist actually done by Becca because she had the nerve to ask the tattoo artist if he would let her do it herself... and he did. lol

3 ✶ Joel has been playing D&D with the same group since he was a teenager. Becca has never joined them. not once. in all these years. she thinks it's silly and has zero interest in understanding it and is perfectly happy to leave him to it 🤷‍♀️ it's a him thing, they don't have to do everything together

4 ✶ Becca can't sleep without some kind of light on, and she sometimes talks in her sleep. Joel used to sleep with earplugs and an eye mask when they first moved in together but after all these years he's so used to it that he doesn't even notice anymore

5 ✶ Joel can't just buy something. first he has to research it, compare every possible option, read the reviews and somehow turn the whole thing into a three-day project

6 ✶ Becca has strictly forbidden Joel from ever shaving his beard because, in her words, he looks terrible without it. i guess that's the kind of raw feedback you get when your wife has also been your best friend since forever

7 ✶ Joel is terrible at saying no to their girls. unfortunately, Margo is also a little shit who knows exactly which parent to ask first lol. so Becca is usually the one who has to come after them and say no. she would like it officially noted that she hates being the bad guy in this house

8 ✶ Becca is hotheaded. like... very hotheaded lol. exercise is how she burns off all that extra energy and avoids fighting people. her home gym is probably doing more for society than anyone realizes

9 ✶ Joel always bragged about being the only person in his family who didn't need glasses. and oh well... age and all those hours spent staring at a computer finally caught up with him, and now he has to wear his slutty little glasses and looks even more like his dad. tragic

This is the home of the Moretti family, created for my new Let's Play in twitch, Le Ricette della Nonna. Nestled in the beautiful world of Tartosa, it's a cozy place where three generations share everyday life together: Nonna Martha, Nonno Marcelo, and their grandson Luka.

I wanted this home to feel warm, welcoming, and truly lived in. A place filled with family traditions, home-cooked meals, quiet mornings in the garden, and long summer evenings spent together.

Every room was decorated with love to reflect the family's simple and peaceful lifestyle, while keeping the charm of the Italian countryside.
