I didn’t….I got in a little bit of trouble, and I ran out of options. Coming here was a last resort. And when I got here it was vamp central, and Victoria was trapped and they weren’t letting anyone leave. I didn’t even know immortal witches existed. I certainly didn’t know kidnapping humans was a socially acceptable part of it all, a part everyone seems very okay with. I don’t know what I thought. I will. If there’s no other solution beyond constantly weakening the wolves that protect us, then yes, Theo, I will do it again. 

If what you need is for someone to claim responsibility for her death, then I am responsible, Theo. I wasn’t the one to kill her, but I played a large part in the events leading to the thing that did. I am sorry. Truly.

I liked Lou. Hearing that she’d died while I was locked away brought me no joy. Though I’m missing some of the details surrounding her demise. 

Now that it’s been a few days since we’ve regained control of the manor and I’ve had time to myself, I’d like to extend my gratitude to everyone personally. I’m afraid I don’t have as many beautiful words and dramatic statements as I thought I would by this time, but it’s no use waiting to let you all know how grateful I am for your dedication, resilience, and self sacrifice. Everything that we’ve done here, everything that we’ve ever accomplished could’ve ended if it weren’t for the pack and the witches involved in research. I aim to repay you with safety… a future that extends beyond the hunts… time in order to heal from the horrors you all have face over the past couple of months… and as much alcohol as your hearts desire. But even that doesn’t feel like enough for what you’ve all endured. As… leader of the Black coven, it’s going to be my mission to ensure something like this never happens again. And to those new faces in the crowd I haven’t yet had the pleasure of meeting under desirable circumstances, a welcome to Carden manor from your finally bathed host. 

The same safety that got innocent people you brought here against their will killed? Seems kind of fucked to sit here and act like that all went off without a hitch.
