Signs You’re Going Through a Spiritual Awakening ☽

1. Existential Crisis You begin to question your life purpose and everything you were working on (for ex. college) stops making sense. In my situation, I “craved” the freedom I didn’t have because of school that’s when I started to raise the questions: who am I? is this what I really want for myself? It was a very exhausting mentally.

2. Nothing goes as you planned

One of the steps to become spiritually awakened is to let go and trust the Universe. If you’re clinging on to your plans that may not be aligned with your life purpose, the Divine will send “obstacles” your way until you learn to go with the flow of life.

3. Synchronicities

At this point, you have probably heard of or even experienced synchronicities like angel numbers, feathers, deja vu, etc. They don’t have to necessarily mean anything. Sometimes, the Universe sends synchronicities just to get your attention. Soon I will be making a post on my interpretation of angel numbers.

4. Indifference to the shallow & materialistic world

You start becoming tired of societal pressure to impress people. You don’t feel the need to “stunt,” post your whole life on Instagram or show up to every event. You lose interest in that world and realize how shallow you might have been until now and that there’s more to life than material possessions or how perceived you’re by society (unless you were always indifferent to materialistic things then that’s great but remember, I’m speaking from my experience lol).

5. Reliving past trauma

Spiritual depression is a real thing and very exhausting mentally. You will suddenly start remembering things from your past that you forgot about; every time somebody hurt you, bullied, or humiliated you. The Universe puts these memories back in your head in order for you to deal with them again. It’s a first step to heal your Soul… Part two will be all about it.

6. Loneliness

Spirituality is a journey you have to take on your own. You will feel alone. You will feel misunderstood. The Divine will isolate and make you end friendships that no longer serve you. But that’s all for the greater good. I had literally nobody(!) for two years. I was forced to learn how to be comfortable on my own, face and heal my past trauma, set the boundaries with new people I was meeting, and many more important things which helped me create the beautiful life I have now.
