Wow, anybody remember this old blog? I’m not here permanently, just kinda jumping in and out for no apparent reason, but thought I’d just drop a little “then vs now” before I leave for another 3 years. Kudos to the people who followed me in 2015 are still around today to view this post, lol. A quick apology for the art; it’s mega sloppy and I spent maybe 7 minutes on it, but hey, improvement? Only took me 2 1/2 something years to go from terrible art to maybe excusable.

((Hello All~ I’ve been seeing a lot of ship hate across my Vocaloid dashboard lately and I just wanted to speak up a little bit about it since it is something I feel passionate about. Everyone, is of course, entitled to their own opinions. Naturally you are allowed to dislike something that other people like! To say otherwise would be silly! Everyone is different! But let’s please remember that it’s not a war. No one ship is better than the other or is more canon or whatever. In this fandom, it’s not about “who sounds the best together” or “who looks the best together” it’s about imagining a pairing that you personally really like together! Because that’s what Vocaloid is all about isn’t it? We all create these characters and their personalities and even sometimes appearances! It’s a wonderful phenomenon. So lets try to be a little bit more respectful of one another’s ideas because even a ship in this fandom is an idea that someone has. There is absolutely no reason we shouldn’t be able to at least respect one another even if a person’s ship doesn’t coincide with our own. Show kindness and tolerance towards one another and instead of sending a nasty message to someone who ships something you don’t, why not just spend time spreading the love for a ship you do like in a positive way! Write fanfiction, draw something cute, write a song, gush about how cute it is! Just have fun! But don’t take others down in the process, you don’t like when people do that to you.))

((i’m doing my best to keep my blog in character but i can’t NOT reblog this. all the time you waste hating on a ship you dislike for whatever reason, could be used to draw fanart, write fanfiction or even make covers of a ship you like! some people take shipping very seriously. a very few words can hurt a lot. let’s all respect each other! spread more love and less hate. the more positivity we have, the more accepting, fun and kind this community will be!))

This ^ is super important, normally I don't reblog anything non-blog related but pEOPLE. Respect each other as human beings with opinions, don't shame others about what they like or dislike. Think about it like this; your OTP is most likely somebody's NOTP. If that somebody just suddenly and for probably no reason started talking trash, like, "ewwwww that's gross!" "It doesn't make any sense!" "How did you even like that ship? It belongs in the trash" So, no matter how out there a ship is, we - as a community - should acknowledge and accept it. I'm not saying you can't dislike it (I have plenty of ships I'm not 100% a fan of), but don't ruin someone else's day just because you have different opinions. You don't HAVE to read that fanfiction, you don't HAVE to like that post, but you do have to be a decent human being and let others enjoy themselves :3
