HAPPY TRIENNIAL FIC-VERSARY!
it’s the three-year anniversary of a thousand savage futures, and i wanted to celebrate! this story helped me become a better writer — the final installment, eve of dreams (le réveillon des rêves), is still the best thing i’ve written to date. it also became an unexpected catalyst for healing and change during a difficult period of lost and found.
the creative process can help us adapt, evolve, become — “all sorrows can be borne if you put them in a story.” if it’s too heavy to hold, try to write it out instead. it will work when the magic is right.
if you haven’t checked out the series and are willing to be hooked on something that’s a little bit inception meets angel heart meets the fountain, with all the signature dark, dreamy weirdness of hannibal, then please give it a go!
special thanks to @fashion-jerk and @thenecronon for their guidance and feedback during this enormous project. finally, to everyone who’s read and shared and enjoyed these stories over the past few years — many thanks / merci mille fois! ♥
