I *HAVE* to share this dialogue Iβve never heard before while I was playing DAN yesterday π«’
So Iβm at the part where Nancy just finished making the cookies and returns to the Moulin to find that Heather is gone and needs a stuffed parrot. Minette is busy pinning JJ in the studio with a DND sign on the door.
When the phone rings, a βGuy with German Accentβ answers the phone. He wants to speak to Minette and you can choose 2 options: βSheβs unavailable right nowβ OR βMay I ask whose calling?β
Iβve always picked the unavailable line, but yesterday picked the other. This gave me, as Nancy, the option to put the man on hold and go speak with Minette.
So I go to the door, knock, and Minette yells, βWhat do you want?β And Nancy replies, βThereβs someone on the phone who wants to speak to you. He sounds kind of angry.β To which Minette gets really fed up, βGo away or youβre fired! I am busy!β Lol. (Oh also, JJ will shout and say something about being poked with a pin. And Minette says something like, βOh cmon on, it doesnβt hurt. Itβs just a pin.β
You can go back to the desk and see that the phone has a blinking red light because we left him on hold. But my brain thought: I wonder how long we can leave him on hold?
Sooo I went to go open the Dodo box instead. HE WAS STILL ON HOLD AFTER I DID THAT WHOLE PUZZLE.
I wanted to keep testing the waters, so I tried to leave. Nancy then says out loud: βOh shoot, I left that guy on hold. I canβt just leave yet.β I tried again and she gave another dialogue of βThat guy is still on hold! I canβt leave yet.β
I go back to the phone and try to answer it, but he hung up. Nancy says βHello? Hello? Hm, I guess he hung up.β
AND BECAUSE OF THIS ONE DECISIONβBUTTERFLY EFFECT. Because every conversation was different after this. I talked with Bess and George, they ask me about the guy, Nancy admits to leaving him on hold too long so she doesnβt know. I talk with Frank and Joe and same deal. They ask about this guy, but Nancy doesnβt know. I even talked to Minette about it, and she asked Nancy, βWell whatβd he want?β And Nancy replied similarly, βWell he hung up.β And Minette says, βIt must not have been that important then.β
Never. Ever. Have I experienced such a gold mine of dialogue. π«¨
**OH AND TO ADD: Also when I called F&J at JJβs instead of the studio, Joe had a whole freak out that Nancy is staying with THE JJ Ling and even asked to put her on the phone. She actually wasnβt in the apartment at the time I called, but that didnβt stop Joe from asking AGAIN when I called him from the apartment later in the game. And this time, she was present, and even interjected in the convo and said, βAre you talking about me on the phone?β π« I was shook.
lol. What rare dialogue awaits us and we donβt even know it? Ahhh **not to mention this game also has the JJ electrical book convo thatβs super hard to unlock (still havenβt done that one yet)
