Lukey had heard different stories about the fae, so he knows that a dangerous creature could have very well found him that night. Fortunately for him, the two that did found him was kind enough to keep him somewhat safe. He would learn that both of them are shape shifters, the taller one being a pangolin (which again, why would you choose an animal that's not from the area) and the shorter one being a cat. Lukey was noticed by "Pangolin Dude" when the former first ended the fae realm while the latter called his friend to join him. Apparently, they would have ditched him in the woods alone had it not been for "Cat Man" vouching to keep him.

Currently, Lukey is now captured residing in what he could assume to be the shape shifters' underground base. The first thing they made him do is promise not to share his name to anyone, not even them (and in return, he isn't allowed to learn theirs). He isn't even allowed to go outside (they even blindfolded him just so he doesn't know the exact location). They claim it's because having a human running around this exact part of the woods would be a death sentence for him (Lukey finds the whole thing stupid; they could have let him leave and never come back). The two even when out their way to get food from his world to keep him from leaving (he could remember the amount to times that "Pangolin Dude" had to hold himself back from throwing the food at the floor before explaining that no, it's not from the fae realm, it's safe to eat).

Any attempts to look for an escape is rendered moot. After catching Lukey doing a failed attempt once, "Cat Man" made sure to not only hide all the exits but to also keep a close eye on him. Meaning he's currently stuck here. At the very least, the shape shift tries to get along and be nice to him whenever the two are alone (Lukey prefers him over "Pangolin Dude" by a mile). But honestly, Lukey just wish he could go back home. He had an established life, how boring it may be. And it was taken away from him because he was curious for his own good. Now he has to wait for the two shape shifters to change their mind and let him go. He doesn't know if it would be possible now.

Warning: captivity/kidnapping (non-con/at minimum dub-con even if nothing sexual for now)

Look, isn't like Lukey doesn't partially understand the logic. They found an intruder in their place, who also had a camara on him, so of course they would be wary from the start. They also aren't human, and for what he knows fae don't exactly guide themselves with the morals he grew up with.

Still, he has the right to be mad about the whole situation. Sure, grateful especially with the cat man to not give him to let him wander until he finds crueler ones and trying to make him as comfortable as possible, but he very much still decided to keep him. Even when they could just let him go, not like anyone would believe him anyways.

Specially for Lukey himself, who loves exploring and walking for hours and hours around and talking to people, being confined to a cave has been exhausting. He tried to count the days, but he doesn't know if that makes it better or worse, or even if its effective considering he doesn't know if time in this place work the same as his own.

Pangolin man can complain as much as he wants about Lukey being ungrateful or too distrustful about them or apparently wanting to die just because he doesn't like being trapped like this. He has the right to be petty.

It does intrigue him, though, why he is being maintained here. Sure, it may just be a fae thing, but even that should have some sort of reasoning for it.

A fun concept would be if they compromise to each week or month realize one of their own fantasies that they always hide in fear of their friends judging them. And sent the evidence to the other.

Almost 300 years. That's how long Newt has been plagued with the Husk's curse. It's how long his body started decaying while everyone he knows has died around him. And it was how long since he'd seen Lucas. His Lucas. Things shouldn't have happened this way. All Newt ever wanted was to help his friend. When he first started studying the curse, it was after the two had found purple vines growing at the woods near the village. After getting permission from Epsilon, Newt assembled a team to help research this strange phenomenon. He ended up learning a lot of things about the curse, one of them being how quickly it can contaminate someone and eventually spread.

Because of the nature of the project, however, Newt was under strict instruction to not tell anyone about it. Meaning that he had to hide any findings from Lucas. Meaning that his friend wasn't very happy when he suddenly starts "keeping secrets from him". Newt should had known something was up when one of the members of the research team mentioned that Lucas came to visit the day he was off work. At the time, he assumed that his friend had forgotten he wasn't there and just wanted to hang out. But it was clear what was happening when the very next day, a part of the purple vine that was stored in his lab was missing. And the rest was growing outside its container.

Newt wanted to be mad at Lucas. He even went to the latter's home to confront him, but no one answered. In fact, his friend had all but disappeared after he came to his lab. Then one day he received a letter to meet at a manor. When he goes there, he finds Lucas inside with the purple vines wrapped around him. The latter starts apologizing to him, saying that he was too curious about what Newt was researching and was getting frustrated that he wasn't telling him the truth. But now he's paying the price since tampering with the vines is causing him to slowly die. He wanted to asked Newt to join him for one more adventure to help find a cure. And Newt, while upset, was willing to do anything to help. So the two found themselves inside an ancient city to try and kill a warden. Except, they end up summoning it way too early. Before he had time to react, Newt had to watch Lucas die in front of him.

Newt tried everything to bring Lucas back. He even tried tampering with the purple vines themselves to see if there's a clue that could help. Unfortunately for him, it lead to him getting the Husk's cursed himself instead. Which ended up alerting Epsilon on what's been happening. His mentor, after seeing his grief, told him that he'd see what he could do with bringing Lucas back before taking the latter's body with him. That being said, the project was deem too dangerous and was officially closed. Newt spent the next 300 years roaming around the village as a Husk with the entire population afraid of him. He ended up taking residence at an old manor far away where he'd usually keep to himself. Gardening, running his own mini experiments, and warding off potential visitors.

It was one day when one of those visitors mentioned this supernatural researcher. Someone who claimed to solve any problem. When Newt asked for more information, they should him a picture of someone who looked exactly like Lucas. But it's impossible, he should be dead (he saw him die in front of him). And then he remembered Epsilon's promise to him. Was this absolutely real? There was only one way to find out. So Newt wrote a letter to Luc this Lukey guy, hoping that he'll show up to the manor. A few days later, he face to face with the researcher. The thing is that he looks a lot like his Lucas, in fact the man shares a lot of the same mannerisms. But it's pretty clear very quickly that Lukey doesn't have his memories (the man tries to pretend to so hard, but Newt didn't have the heart to call him out on it). Still, he was willing to help cure him of his condition.

So there the two are, just pretending their current dynamic is normal. Like it was before everything completely changed. So what if Newt started treating Lukey like nothing bad happened to him? So what if he recently started holding him closer everyday? He missed him. His Lucas. And it's not like the man was complaining either. Everything is currently fine. Except now Lukey started having weird dreams. Which just so happened to be his lost memories. Which also includes his death.

Which means now Newt is going to have to explain everything to him. Just perfect.

There are a few reasons why Newt didn't want to tell him about it. One of them is that is a lot to take in, and he himself isn't sure if he has been able to process it himself. Others vary between "i don't want him to feel like he needs to be exactly like before" and "what if he doesn't believe it and decided to give up on me".

(And maybe, just maybe, he is still mad about all of it. Frustrated that for someone who was loud about Newt holding onto secrets, he hidden something like that until it was too late for Newt to help him.

But he doesn't like being mad at Lucas, to fighting him or be in bad terms. That is why him not remembering is easier.)

More than that, it was obvious that despite any differences he still retains that bold and adventurous nature in him, if his research in the unknown is something to take into account. What he would do if he discovered what happened? Go back to that cave just so Newt can see him die again?

Is scary, the possibility of being able to recover someone so precious to him only to lost him again.

... Lucas, too, has always been the one to give him the force to be brave. Is in the way he tries to hold his hand now, in the way his face softens and how his tone changes to a more reassuring one.

"I could try to decipher it myself, but I want to hear it from you before any misunderstandings can be made."

Now if he's being honest, Lukey finds the whole rumor to be absolute bullshit. But it still gives him an opportunity to photograph something. Besides, in the event that the rumors is true, it beats being in town doing nothing all day. So one night, he plans on entering that part of the woods alone. Unfortunately for him, he immediately gets lost upon entry. While trying to navigate, he gets followed by a pangolin (...why is there a pangolin in the middle of the woods? This isn't even the right region for them) and a cat. But before Lukey could do anything, he gets knocked out in the head.

When Lukey wakes up again, he's tied up inside some sort of cave with two people standing in front of him. The two ask what exactly was he doing in the fae realm (wait, what?), especially in the middle of the night. Confused, Lukey tries explaining to them his photography project he's been trying to work on and how he first found out about the rumors of this place. He could tell how unimpressed they were after hearing him out. So he tries asking them to let him go and never see him again. That's when the two tells him that they can't risk the fae realm being exposed like this. Meaning that until they change their mind, Lukey's stuck here forever.

Lukey really wasn't expecting get anything mind breaking or exorbitant to take a photo of. As much, he would find a neat scenery and maybe one or two animals.

And in his defense, he guesses he was partially right. He did found creatures in the forest, just not the ones he was expecting or in a way he could have preficted.

No, even more than that, in his defense, he wasn't expecting that the rumour would not only be true but apparently also about faes. Not the ones that are sold to kids as funny toys, but actual faes.

When he tries to search into his memories myths and stories about them, nothing that he remembers is something pleasant.

But at least they didn't say that it was impossible for him to get out, just very difficult if what is necessary is change their opinion.

Maybe they start inviting him to parties just to get the chance to see it in person (and participate).

If there's one thing that Lukey knows, it's that you could sometimes feel a shift in the way things are going. Suffice to say, his and Newt's relationship has hit an interesting development. Since that day at the lab, there have been moments when the Husk was a lot more touchy with him. Like the moment he lets go, Lukey would disappear. It usually ends with the latter feeling more calmer when his around Newt. Which is a pleasant surprise.

Lukey has also been keeping notes on all the dreams with Newt recently. Since he has absolutely zero clue on how to recreate a human body from scratch (he even asked Newt as well, he said that it's practically impossible with the materials they have), trying to find the source of Newt's curse is a safer bet. And if his dreams are actually some sort of memories, he realized that they might have some sort of clue. Out of all the dreams he had, there's one that sticks out. It's when Lukey and Newt visited this cave filled with a blue-green like substance. There he ends up triggering something that leads to a monster entering the cave. A warden. The two tried running for their lives but Lukey trips on a ledge. The last thing he saw before waking up was a sonic wave heading towards his direction.

Lukey tries to ignore it (because quite frankly, being shown how you "died" is not a pleasant expiration. And that's assuming it's actually real). He uses the information from Newt's note as well as his own notes of his own dreams in order to corroborate any ideas or facts that could help him. And yet, there's still that nagging feeling that something's off. Like there's something he hasn't been told. Lukey knows that Newt wouldn't lie to him, especially since he's helping the latter out. But if his dreams are actually his memories, and he just witnessed how he died...

Lukey needs to have a talk with Newt. He needs to clear up any confusion of what's going on between the two. Why exactly the Husk knows him so well despite Lukey having zero clue who he is. Hopefully, the answer he gets is satisfactory.

Asking is more difficult than it should.

Lukey keeps getting distracted, or deciding is not the best moment for it.

In his defense, the Husk has just been so gentle recently. Making flower crowns for him and bringing food after hours of work and more open to talk about his own hobbies too.

(And other things that make Lukey's cheeks blush).

A few days pass and nothing has happened yet. This leads Pangi to think that Pili had forgotten about the whole thing. But then one morning, he wakes up with a little pain and some stickiness in his pants. This would continue for a coue more days until one morning, while Pangi's eating breakfast, Pili sents him a few messages. Said messages include both photos and videos of the latter using the former in his sleep.

And you just know that Pili would have fun with it, sending them in the most unexpected moments. As his roommate, he is familiar with Pangi's schedule, after all. While he is getting food, when he is going out with his friends, in the middle of class or just before an exam...

It does help that Pangi is a heavy sleeper, not realizing that it happened until he is waking up. Which, in return, let Pili test new things.

The idea that Pili is using him to get off as if he was just another toy, that his body is the one causing him to wake up in better humour in the mornings, that he is helping his best friend just by laying down and letting him do whatever he wants with him... He likes it more than he thought.

What settles that sentiment for him is when he is sent a video of Pili fucking into his mouth. He is so obedient too, barely noticing the lack of air as Pili presses his tdick deeper. HIs mouth seems wet and slick too, as if this has been going for hours and Pili had already orgasm inside.

There is a message with it: You really would just take anything I give you, maybe I should try something bigger next time.

They don't talk about it. Not about the way Lukey looked completely unravel when Pili was jerking him off. Not about the sounds Pili made when Lukey was making hickeies around his neck. As far as Lukey and Pili were aware, nothing interesting of note happened that night. The two were behaving as normal, with their usual bickering and pretending that they're dating.

It's not like it affected Lukey at all. That the first thing he did when he went to bed that night was masturbate in his bed, thinking about what if they ended up going further. Nope, that would be stupid. Besides this whole thing with Pili is a fake relationship. So it's not like he had a crush on the guy (especially for a while now before all this). They're just trying to get Lukey's former friends and Pili's ex to leave them alone after all. And it's working too; not only did his "friends" start backing off but Pili's ex began to taken the hint as well.

So yeah, everything's part of the plan. That's what Lukey tells himself when he invited Pili to hang out at his apartment to strategize some more. That's what he tells himself when the two ended up playing fighting games instead. It's what he tells himself when the two started teasing each other, touching each other in certain places as a form of distraction while playing the game (to be fair, Pili was the one who started it; Lukey thought is was fair to retaliate). And it's what he tells himself when the above leads to Lukey and Pili kissing each other roughly and dry humping each other in the former's couch.

Oh who is Lukey kidding? He's absolutely screwed.

"Let me know if I am too heavy" Pili said, legs wrapping around Lukey as he sited on his lap.

"You are too small for that," he answered, giggling even through the pricking pain when Pili sank his nails at his side.

Pili quickly shut him up with a kiss. It wasn't like the one they had shared before, sloppier and messier, but the way Pili bit his lips made Lukey's guts flare up with pleasure.

Lukey grabbed Pili from the neck, pushing him closer. His fingers pressed where the mark he has left in the party were still healing, making Pili gasp.

They both shifted, moaning in each other mouths when they ended up pressing together.

Lukey was growing hard embarrassing fast and, unfortunately, Pili seemed to notice. It was definitely being used against him later on, if the smile in Pili's face was something to take into account.

This time, though, Pili didn't make any move to get him out. Instead, he started rubbing himself, seemingly more interested in pursuing his own relish.

The idea of being used like that made Lukey groan. It was inexplicably hot. He understood better now why Pili didn't seemed disappointed at the party.

I could be like this for hours and not get tired of it, Lukey thought, the friction when Pili pushed his hips forward making him shiver.

Pili was squirming above him, eyes closed and back arched. He was wearing an oversized shirt that he said found in a cheap sale, and Lukey couldn't resist to lick at the skin showed.

It was addicting, to have his warm body so close, to be able to see him like this. Lukey was growing greedy, he realized, and this was going to end in a disaster.

Pili's hand finally moved downwards and any worries fled out of his head. There was time to care about all of that later.
