Long gone was Blackrock Stronghold, merely just a giant hole in the planet now⌠It pained him to even think about Blackrock. Rythian had many sleepless nights just thinking about if Zoeya would survive, The doctors of sickbay assured him she would survive. This sort of helped him sleep through a few nights but the mere idea of her death would wake him up⌠That and the amount of sand that would make itâs way into his bed, no amount of magic can get sand out of a bedâŚ
So what was Rythian doing at the moment? Tinkering with the fort before going to visit Zoeya, Sheâd been visiting Sickbay more than usual, probably buying supplies for some crazy science thing. He didnât like her using science but it made her happy and thatâs all that mattered to him.Â
Things were good . . . well, not really, there were the nightmare that seemed to haunt her every night, the phantom pain from her arm and of course any thunder clap or gunshot would make her want to cry but who was she to complain, at least she wasnât did. It was how she felt though, even with the horrible things her and Rythian were both still going though the least she could look at is they were alive and mostly in one piece. Zoeya happily chatted to the fellow doctors of sickbay as they had some pretty high tech stuff. She had been working on her arm here and there, mainly trying to make it more comfy and usable but she did still hope for those working lasers sometimes. she tries to remind herself to thank Rythian when she gets back to base camp, it was safe to assume that he wasnât thrilled about science especially after the nuke, even she wasnât super excited, but at least he was accepting and helped her occasionally. She collected the materials from the doctor who no longer needed them. She had planned to talk to the beekeepers about bees but she felt the air shift, looking around she started to notice how dark the sky was. Zoeya froze. âNoâ she mumbled. This wasnât something she wanted to deal with, after all she was just starting to get outside again and now this? Not to mention she wasnât with rythian, she never hadnât been with the ender mage during something that pulled at her like this. âRythian, Rythian, Rythianâ She found herself mumbling his name like a calming mantra as she started back to the base camp. She got just passed the hospital before the rain started to pour and there was a loud thunderclap causing her to scream out, dropping her supplies and covering her ears.
