I apologize if this is disruptive, I just want to see how much help I can make for my friends...they are still reeling in the cost of the surgery that failed to save Ivey's life and the funeral expenses that followed. Than when it is personal.  There have been celebrity deaths that I will never get over. But when it is personal, it is a sting that burrows into your heart, sits there, festers and mocks you. It tells you “there is nothing you can do about this”. “Look at you,  you’re so powerless.” “This is life.” “This is reality.” One of my best friends in the world, his partner, his boyfriend, his lover and other half collapsed at work Monday,  He had a major aneurysm in his chest that caused an aortic dissection. he pulled through surgery and then never woke up. I had been initially told that he had for a few moments but the doctors now think that was less being awake and more his brain trying to cope with what happened next. This morning we received a call from the neurologist saying there was severe swelling on his brain, most of it was damaged, and what once made him my beloved friend is no longer there. If he survives. The doctors have advised us all to say our goodbyes. Can you imagine how hard this is for my friend? The future of him and his Other half is likely a funeral at worst or at “best”, at worst his lover wakes up and does not remember him, is completely different, or does not wake up at all.  “This is life, this is reality, look at you...you’re so powerless. There is nothing you can do.” Nothing I can do...
