For a moment, Jax is silent, staring at the cat, as their mouth disappears entirely from their face and the rabbit's pupils grow massive. Then just as quickly, they've switched back to grinning and staring. The big mug of cocoa in front of them, complete with the excessive dollop of whipped cream and marshmallows stuck on top, remains untouched.

"Oh, great, just what I was looking for. No, I wasn't enjoying my time by myself at all, thanks for asking."

maybe is was cowardice to hide in a war that one had willing signed herself for when she summoned the servant... however, perhaps it was playing it safe. after all, everyone would be ridding each other, right ? it would it an easier war if there were less opponents, right ?

maybe that's where the two saw things differently... no, that's definitely one of the many places where they disagreed with each other.

Whatever the avenger's stated displeasure was with their approach to the war, it clearly wasn't enough to stop them from popping karage into their mouth at every opportunity, having stacked a generous helping on her plate, or savoring the mini apple turnovers and candy grapes she'd been provided.

"...I would enjoy making my enemies burn." Jeanne replies with a huff, perhaps unconvincingly as she can't seem to help from snacking on yet more chicken. The material comforts offered from her time alongside Ara have been... effective as distractions from her usual impulses.

"You should at least make a plan for who we target first...." She murmurs, her expression softening for a split second.

klyn approaches jax, giving them a light poke on arm. there's a small smile on her expression as she she holds her hands behind her back… occasionally the rubber bunny had been seeking felt doll out. perhaps it wouldn't be too far off to assume the same for today's outing ? klyn was just getting ahead of the game. besides, it looks like they hadn't been partnered up yet.

Jax's attention had been elsewhere until they felt a felt finger gently proding them, prompting him to turn his neck to see the kitty cat going out of her way to choose him. With everything that's been going through their head lately... sure, yeah, this could be fun.

"You really wanna make that choice, huh? Alright, but you should know I can be a real handful." He punctuates this with a poke back at Klyn and a grin, already thinking of what ways he could derail this upcoming adventure.
