{Okay! So I know a less scary way to move my URL. But now I’m too on edge to attempt it tonight.

It’s progress! I’ve got a game plan for tomorrow and a clearer understanding of what I have to do. 

I’m sorry for all the back and forth. Slow and steady wins the race, right?

Even a three hundred year old spirit has to do laundry sometimes, and becoming a Guardian turned those ‘sometimes’ into an almost weekly chore. This time in particular was more than a little pressing. Jack, with his reckless ways, had accidentally tripped into a paint pond down in the Warren. Sent away amid a great deal of scolding, the boy reluctantly flew off to get cleaned up. Luckily only his sweater was drenched in paint. The rest of his got away with only a few spatters here and there, including spots on his cheeks.

When he returned to fetch his drying hoodie, Jack came back to find…. someone in it.

He couldn’t help snorting with laughter when he saw Nightlight. Side by side, you might not guess the two boys were all that different in size body-wise. But put something of Jack’s on the spectral boy’s skinny frame and the results were more than obvious.

“Nice and cozy?”

Jack sauntered his way lazily over to the tree, leaning sidelong against the tree next to Nightlight. Up close, he had to admit Nightlight looked pretty adorable. Then again, most anything the spectral boy did was cute in some way. That didn’t stop Jack’s snickering however.
