Hopeless Dreamer

It drives me insane when people say things like "you can't change over night". Why not? One day I woke up and didn't want to feel awful and sad about everything in my life anymore, so I went out and literally changed E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G that I didn't like. If you knew me a year ago, hell, even two months ago, I was a loose cannon. No goals, no real obligations, no self-respect or respect for anybody else. And I was miserable. Drunk. Literally, drunk ALL the time. Mostly because my anxiety was so extreme that I could feel my heart begin to palpitate even just from leaving my house. But now- I don't even know that person. I'm the happiest I've ever been. I was blessed with the opportunity to work for Truth, I have one of my best friends and his amazing girlfriend as roommates, I'm healthier and my body looks awesome. So please, don't listen to people when they tell you that you can't just change over night. You might not be the complete version of yourself you'd like to become over night, but you sure as hell can take the first steps to getting there- and sometimes those steps are the biggest ones. Ttyl.
