ok SO. it’s fanon (maybe  canon but i don’t actually care if it is or not) that sirius speaks french right? so @tooticky26 and i were talking about that today and just dkdflkjfgjgdfj

imagine sirius using french to absolutely DIS james pete remus and lily without them knowing what he’s saying so they can’t reply with a witty comeback.

or him and Regulus shouting insults at each other in french across the great hall. 

but even better, and what we’re talking about today, please consider:

imagine late 4th, early 5th, sirius accepts he has a crush on remus

obviously he can’t let anyone know so instead he just starts waxing lyrical about remus’ eyes and hair, but in french. he writes bad poetry, recites it to him, sings french love songs, etc. but he always makes sure to sound angry when vocalizing these things. 

after a few months of sirius shouting at him angrily in french remus is fed up. so he goes to the library and checks out a french to english dictionary. 

the next day sirius yells “tu as de jolis yeux et un beau sourire!”, and, to his absolute shock and horror, remus sets down his school bag and whips out a large french to english dictionary and starts flipping through it. 

sirius’ entire life flashes before his eyes, he screams “NO!” grabs the book from remus and fucking YEETS it out the window. 

remus is OUTRAGED. 

“was what you said to me really that bad???? that you had to ruin a library book that I had checked out?? what did you even say?????”

so he decides to learn a translating spell. 

james and pete have been watching this go on for a while, and are very amused, although, james at least, has no idea what sirius has been saying. (peter took a little french in primary school and has an idea of what things sirius has been saying, and is a little tired of all the pining but can’t wait to watch it crash and burn once remus learns his spell.)

of course, sirius doesn’t know about the spell but he should’ve known not to underestimate remus lupin so what happens next is his own fault. 

“je t'aime et ta belle âme“ he yells angrily! remus looks at him in mild confusion, messes with his wand a bit, mutters a little, then looks up again and asks, simply, “what?”

ohno

“I SAID I HATE YOUR FACE” “well then i must have gotten the spell wrong because i’m pretty sure you just said you love me and my beautiful soul??”

OHNO HE KNOWS. 

“i mean i love you too, man, but you don’t need to yell at me angrily in french about it.”

because remus. brilliant remus, just accepted that “i love you and your beautiful soul” yelled angrily in french was just sirius being his usual dramatic bitch self. 

and he’s right in a way, 

but also.

peter almost cries.

sirius is more careful about what he says around remus now, but remus is still working on his spell so it goes both ways and one day he walks up to sirius and says, in perfect fluent french ‘i love you dearly, you are intelligent, brave, and kind’ and how the HELL is sirius supposed to deal with that??????????? remus is just like “oh haha this is for that nice compliment you gave me that one time” and sirius is just like “oh haha DEAD”

after that they just start flirting with each other in french “as a joke”

peter is fed up by the first week.

remus later in the year confides in peter “yeah i have a crush on sirius but it’s not like he’ll ever like me back” and peter comes so, so close to slapping the shit out of him.

“he flirts with you, in french, the language of love, a l l  t h e  t i m e.”

“yeah but that’s just like a friendly joke.”

shit like this is why peter betrayed them all in the canon universe.

George was frustrated. In both senses of the word. He had originally thought that inviting you to the Burrow over Christmas was a wonderful idea, and whilst he loved having you around, he felt as though he’d barely even seen you since you’d arrived. And it was beginning to drive him insane.

He loved that you got along with his family so well, that they constantly wanted to be around you but, in his eyes, he’d invited you there to be with him, and the fact you’d probably had around 10 minutes alone over the last week was starting to get to him.

It didn’t help, and he was certain you were doing this on purpose, that you kept wearing his shirts around the Burrow - something you knew turned him on - or that one day you wore a jumper that fell off one shoulder, exposing the area of skin that George wanted to kiss and bite down on. Or, worse, that one day you wore a skirt and knee high socks - Merlin, George thought he felt his heart stop that day.

okay so you know that type of friends who go super gay when they drink? 

first it would be just Sirius leaving sligh touches on Remus, like doesn’t matter where.

he would just touch his knee or run his hand through his hair.

then remus woud be like “Hey, Pads, want a hug?” and throw himself into the other’s arms.

after a few more drinks Remus would get so close to Sirius to talk to him, like SO close, almost touching his lips, just to mantain a conversation

and Sirius would go along with it and stroke Remus cheek with a smirk.

AND DON’T FORGET ABOUT THE TEASING  PHRASES THEY WOULD SAY TO EACH OTHER

Sirius would be like “you know people say I’m a great kisser?” and Remus would say “prove it then” 

and when Sirius would pull the other by the neck and stop right before touching their lips, Remus would panick and pull away ‘cause HE’S SHY

and Sirius would laugh at him ‘cause he looked so confident but he freaked out

but then Sirius would stroke Remus’ cheek and get closer slowly until their lips would touch

they would have a slow and passionate make out session

and when they’d pull away Remus would giggle while blushing awwww

after kissing for like an hour Sirius would say “Let’s go to sleep, okay, Moony?”

aND THEY WOULD SLEEP CUDDLING IM SAD
