Shadonic/Sonadow Moments in Sonic Takeovers:
Sonic Takeovers made by Sonic West media and although it is not official to the Sonic original Japanese media nor made by Sonic Team JP, it can be said there are small subtle moments that Sonic liking Shadow and the examples are:
•1/2: In Sonic Forces Takeover 3, a fan asks how much he likes Amy Rose, Sonic refuses to answer and Shadow and Doctor Eggman stated he might have been timid to answer then Eggman mentions a file sent by Infinite, says the file is called “Sonadow”, Sonic shouts Eggman so sudden confusingly not to open the file. So, in here, the actual answer states as “Sonadow” by officially acknowledges with changing the answer from Emmy to Shadow, which means Sonikku is more interested in Shadow the Hedgehog, so might have been shy when the actual answer was heard.
•2/2: In the same takeover, another fan asks to Shadow what he thinks about “Sonadow”, Shadow states only one word as no. There are two possible reasons why Shadow answers as no.
Firstly, he might have been shy to say what he actually thinks, so he could replied this coldly as being Tsundere.
Secondly, he might have got bothered that “Sonadow” was mentioned, because Sonic has the dominated ship name top, so he might have been annoyed “Sonadow” was mentioned instead. Japanese and East Asian fans generally use other Sonic x Shadow ship names like “Shadonic, Shadnic, ShadSoni and ShaSoni”, so it could be possible that Shadow would reply very differently if one of Sonic x Shadow (which they have dominated ship top on Shadow’s name) ship names was mentioned instead.
Sonic Ultimate Colors Takeover:
• In Ultimate Colors Takeover 5, a fan asks what everyone’s most memorable adventure was, after Yacker and Eggman told their most memorable adventures, Shadow says that his most memorable adventure was when Sonic reached out his hand to save him before he fell to earth after the battle they had against the BioLizard (refers to Sonic Adventure 2).
"Sonic reached out to save me before I fell to earth from the ARK. If I hadn't waved him away, Sonic would have fallen with me... But his determination in trying... I'll never forget that... Until I did, but we're not going to talk about that."
In here, Shadow must have been referring to the time that he got amnesia after he fell to earth from the ARK. But he regains his memory afterwrds, so this is why he remembers this scene at that moment.
Sonic is touched by Shadow's answer and replies by saying Shadow's name softly. So this means, Shadow’s most memorable adventure was meeting Sonic, which was the best memory he had in his life and it can also be said Sonic is happy that Shadow remembers being part of one of Shadow’s best memories. Also, by Shadow waving away Sonikku’s hand to save him demonstrates he cares for Sonic and his safety so much that included at the cost of his own.
Sonic Frontiers Takeover:
• On Frontiers Takeover 6, a fan called RealShadowFan01 asks Shadow if he would marry to them. Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Eggman all teased Shadow about the question, but they were all so surprised when Shadow said that he would. Sonic then asks Shadow in a dejected voice if he was serious, then Shadow answers saying that he would only marry the person if they can follow his strict rules. If they are able to do his tasks, he would propose himself. So, he lists out three tasks that the person would have to follow beginning with:
"I iron my linens every night. I refuse to go to bed in a wrinkled bedsheet. Anyone who wants to be my partner, must be able to assist." Sonic replies in a confused manner: "Okay, a bit peculiar, but I can understand." Shadow then goes on to list the other two tasks and says that if anyone cannot fulfill these tasks that they will have to formally step aside. He then goes on to say that if the rules does not deter the person that he will be waiting at the Ferris Wheel with a ring and a bouquet of lavender. He then thanks the person for their question and Sonic also thanks them but in a more dejected and sad manner: "Yeah, uh, thanks RealShadowFan01." For several of the questions answered after this one, Sonic sounds very sad.
Shadow mentions "partner" when talking about having to follow his rules to marry him, meaning that Shadow is willing to marry anyone who can follow his rules, which can be either a man or a woman and it can also even be Sonic if he wants to try.
By how Sonic answers to the first task, which can be said that he is willing to do the tasks mentioned by Shadow in order to get a chance to marry Shadow since Shadow says that his partner can be anyone who can follow his rules.
Sonic's voice sounded sad after when Shadow says he would marry the person, which hints that Sonic was being upset because he is not the one marrying Shadow and that he wants to be the one to marry Shadow, which is another clue towards his sad behaviour.
Since it was asked before when another fans asked whether Sonic and Shadow hate each other and was officially stated by Shadow saying that he does not hate Sonikku, which can be interpreted after when Sonic heard that Shadow does not hate him, he thought that he has a chance to be closer to him and maybe even has a chance to marry him since he just heard that Shadow is willing to marry anyone who can follow his rules.
By Shadow saying he is willing to marry @RealShadowFan01, it can be taken it as Shadow saying that he is willing to marry his real number one fan. That fan can be clued to be Sonic, because he showed interest in following Shadow's tasks and was sad too when thinking of Shadow marrying someone other than himself.
Sonic SuperStar Takeover:
• In Superstars Takeover 7, a fan asks what they (Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy Rose and Eggman) think about Shadow, Emmy says she had great times with him, while Sonic was bothered when he heard that Shadow and she had great times, so Sonikku was being jealous.
In here, it is very highly likely that Sonic was being envy to Emmy when he heard she and Shadow had great time together because there are subtle hints that Sonic liking Shadow in those previous Takeovers like “Sonadow” being mentioned twice in Forces Takeover, which was stated as the real answer, being touched Shadow's beautiful memory was Sonikku when he was trying to save Shadow back in the space in Ultimate Colors Takeover and being jealous and upset when Shadow accepted @RealShadowFan's marriage propose (even if the fan highly theorized was Sonic) ().
On a side note, these takeovers (like Ultimate Color, Frontiers, and SuperStars) were made after Sonic x Shadow 2021 July Calendar Story was made except Forces, which was released before the calendar story.
