My little skunk friends... Fog. How amazingly it makes the world smaller. But does not stop thinking. Steve Bannon, a man who was very close to the white house,, was brave enough to actually say that the whole “Me Too” movement was an existential threat to patriarchy. I thought: is this the birth of another inquisition? The D.C. which hunt? The existential threat is the ignorance of patriarchy itself, which brought us to the delicately dangerous time we live in. Of all animals, it is us humans, supposedly the apex of this kingdom, that are acting as a cancer, slowly, with our greed and consumerism, destroying our host, the Earth.

a ways to go yet, but it’s getting there. 

so this whole ME-WE made me think. the word itself is interchangeable as far as right side  upside down goes, but it doesn’t work when you look at it from the back because the “E” ends up being backwards. but it was interesting to see words as windows: making the background solid instead of the word itself, which is what I was thinking of doing in the beginning. so I began thinking of words that could be seen from front and back and still be the same, and came up with “OT TO”... can’t flip it upside-down, but it works both ways from front and back... on further thought, it appeared that numbers work pretty well this way. like “101″ or “888″ etc. can read them front or rear AND upside-down!

a little different?

Somewhere along the line I learned about trust. I think it was in the big truck. Trust and intuition. And amazingly enough, Andrij, our doctor friend... An amazing person. Lived in Kyiv, Ukraine. Was a doctor. Married, with a small daughter. When Chernobyl blew, their daughter developed a brain tumor, so they came to America thinking that advanced medicine here could save her. It didn’t. So they lost the daughter. Then, his wife left him. Oh. Before they came to America, he’d had some sort of an accident where he broke his back and was confined to a wheelchair... So all this incredible trauma. Unbearable hardships. And he always told me: “Chil(d), don’t get excited. Relax. No matter what happens, it’s all for the best!”. I couldn’t believe it! Where was this young man getting his strength, his convictions, that kept him in such an incredible frame of mind? If anyone had reasons to be depressed, it was him. But no. So trust. In everything. Sometimes you get burned. But that too is a learning thing. For the better. How could’ve I suspected that the little doodle was gonna grow, over the years, into this?

I still haven’t figured out how to post things in order. So this latest posting is out of whack. Not quite in chronological order. As far as I can tell, I began building this “shape” three years ago. For a fact I know that I’ve been working on the inside for this whole year, and it’s still not finished. It still throws me a “curved ball” and I think where the hell is that coming from? But that’s how it grows.

Yes. This Message to Humanity, how many decades ago did I find it stapled to a telephone pole on Cannery Row in Monterey where I was living? Working at Kalisa’s Cafe, the Bohemian Place in a building that Steinbeck wrote about, she the Queen of Cannery Row, an old Latvian woman who was proud to have shook Hitler’s hand when still a child in Riga? We do create the World. Being a consumer is alright, life is such, but there’s a little bit more...

All of these drawings are long gone. It’s a miracle that through the years of driving the original doodle survived, and photos of these drawings that I’d managed to put into a small hand-made book are still around to show me what’s happened. I’d completely forgotten the evolution of this concept. Forgotten the connection of the hearts to the Vesica. The sexual context where it was born. And of course when the Vesica became the three dimensional symbol of Woman which not only gives birth to all geometric forms as said in texts on Sacred Geometry but with the womb came the acceptance of all birth, and the idea of the ocean being the womb of Mother Earth from which all life emerged, and space being the bigger womb that contains the uni-verse. The Mind being the ultimate Womb, and finally the realization that there’s the funny notion of the Womb-Tomb and it’s hard not to suspect a lot of things.

From a simple doodle from somewhere around 1985, when I was still driving truck, at a truck stop outside of New York City, days before cell phones, and I was at a pay phone when suddenly the phone next to me started ringing so I answered it and it became my first and only experience with phone sex, it was crazy, she said she was 18 years old but could’ve been 300, and she drove me nuts, I was banging my head against the wall, somebody said “slow down dude, you’ll have a heart attack”, but at any rate, that’s where the doodle was born, and from there to now it’s been an organic growth blossoming fruition of an unknown which is still growing. 33 year meditation on a mystery from doodle to womb-tomb-three-dimensional-Vesica...
