Hey everyone! My name is Mao, and I'm an independent artist and screenwriter. I've always been a big fan of indie games and other related things ever since when they were at their peak (in 2014/2017/18).
At the time, when I was thrown into the world of Babtqftim, I was enchanted by how new it seemed, completely blinded by the innovative image it projected. However, as I grew and evolved, not only as an artist/writer but also as a person, I began to notice several problematic aspects and how poorly that comic was made. Not only me, but several other people who also grew up and realized the various problematic aspects that existed in that universe, In addition to the creator's online status, which only further tarnished the comic's image.
However, despite the various errors, poor character, story development, and a completely provisional script, the premise that Babtqftim delivered was definitely an innovation, The idea is to unite several well-known and famous characters in a single universe, while maintaining a mystery surrounding the ink machine, featuring a protagonist who must reach her to cure his deadly illness, and including numerous other references to games and cartoons, It was something that really affected everyone. The sad thing was seeing how poorly it was used.
And even after it ended, many people went on to reuse it and create their own sequels and stories, which is particularly incredible to see. Great examples include Inky Mystery itself and even the more recent "Myth of the Machine", who have become great inspirations for me on this journey. So, to get straight to the point, I also decided to make my own remake of QTFIM. But instead of making very radical changes, I decided to reuse and rewrite the entire script (That is, everything you saw in QTFIM will be remade with a new look and improved development like; the characters, the story itself and its world), to reinterpret and rebuild the story in my own way.
It will have elements similar to the original comic, but with significant improvements.
To differentiate it, I decided to name this rewrite "Bendy & Boris and The Lost Ink Machine" or B&BATLIM.
Just a little reminder, this project is my own interpretation and an attempt to revisit the original story in a different way. It does not reflect support for the problematic aspects associated with the original comic or its creator.
