My female relative used to workfor a theater company that consisted only of women. This troupe had been performing since 1914, in the past, they even put on a play with Jack as the main character. All the roles, from Jackie to Martin Luther King to Edgar Hoover, are played by Asian women, so if an American were to actually see it, they might burst out laughing. Or will intolerant people get furious? However, since actors are trained to play either male or female roles and must play any role regardless of race, nationality, or age, it doesn't seem so strange to those who are used to it.
Unfortunately, the play starring Jack is over thirty years old, and I've only seen fragments of it on video. According to those who were there at the time, the script had quite a few problems. Bobby is also treated far less favorably than he was in reality. That said, Bobby, portrayed as a lively younger brother who loves his older brother, was quite adorable. I'd like to see the full story someday.
