King of Games

Gently shaking the hand he had been offered, Atem forced his disappointment to leave his mind: Yugi had nothing to do with his apprehensions. Besides, Yugi too had probably already met people that looked like the former king. “It’s a pleasure for me as well. I am Atem”.

He smiled as he shook his hand. “I figured as much, but I can never be too careful. I’m glad to meet you, Atem. If it isn’t too rude of me to ask… what are you doing here?”

"I know what you are talking about" he returned the smile, most of the people around seemed to have nicknames or second names. "It is all right" Atem nodded "I’m actually searching for my Yami, did you happen to see a red eyed young man, the same height as me, around recently?" he asked. 

He blinked. That was a new one. "Your... Yami?" He shook his head. "No I'm sorry. It's been a while since I've met a Yami. Is there... anything you can tell me about him? Maybe that way, if I do meet him, I will know for sure and can send him your way."

He smiled softly at the man. “Hello.” Judging from the look in his eyes, he wasn’t the first Yuugi he had met, but that didn’t mean he wouldn’t be polite and introduce himself. He held his hand out. “I’m Yuugi. It’s nice to meet you.”

He smiled softly at the man. "Hello." Judging from the look in his eyes, he wasn't the first Yuugi he had met, but that didn't mean he wouldn't be polite and introduce himself. He held his hand out. "I'm Yuugi. It's nice to meet you."

*blinks* “H-Hi…?” *tilts his head* “Guy again?”

"For a short time," he blushed softly. "Is it bad?" Sahira babbled and squirmed and he walked over quickly as she started reaching for her uncle. 

He shakes his head as he moved to meet her. "No, no, I just wanted to make sure nothing weird happened, or that Sahira was freaked again." He smiled brightly at the little princess and took her into his arms, kissing her cheek. "How is my favorite little girl today?"

*blinks* "H-Hi...?" *tilts his head* "Guy again?"

"Oh wow... that is absolutely gorgeous!" He smiled and hugged him tight. "Thank you so much."

"I just… I-I like to have… personal space is important to me." He mumbled. Though he didn’t trust anyone not to hurt him anyway.

Yuugi nodded, not entirely sure whether that was the real reason or not. "Of course, I understand." He ran a hand through his hair. "So, what have you been up to?"

He walked towards him, slowly. “How have you been?” He looked a little skittish. Yuugi wasn’t sure what was going on, but he was concerned for him and he wanted to help anyway he could.

He frowned slightly, watching his reaction. His head tilted a little as he looked him over. "Ryou... are you sure you're okay? I'm not going to... hurt you or anything. You know that, right?"

Yuugi smiled at the other. “Ryou…” He always loved seeing his friend, but something about him felt… off. “Hey, it’s so good to see you,”

He walked towards him, slowly. "How have you been?" He looked a little skittish. Yuugi wasn't sure what was going on, but he was concerned for him and he wanted to help anyway he could.
