I love hearing the "behind the scenes" stories from actors and producers. This 50 min video is long, but worth the watch. Charles Parnell and Travis van Winkle give some fun stories about filming and what we might see of their characters in June.

Those of us unable to attend Wondercon2014 missed seeing the first episode of The Last Ship. But that doesn't mean that we can't live vicariously! Check out this article that's sure to ratchet up your excitement level.

Last week TNT shared this new trailer from "The Last Ship." It's unlike anything you've seen yet . . . !

In "The Last Ship," the crew survive on board the USS Nathan James, a nuclear naval destroyer.  While there doesn't exist a vessel with that name, the US Navy does have the USS Roosevelt, which is of similar classification (DDG-80). Her glamour shot (naval ships are ALWAYS female) just prior to commissioning is pictured first, then a photo of the vessel in the Mediterranean sea in February 2014.

**Spoiler Alert: The scripted TV drama does not follow the book EXACTLY as written.** I'm currently in the middle of the novel and the trailer from TNT includes a new plot line. But hey, it'd be a pretty short series if this was a strict retelling.
