I want to talk about this scene, where Yor and Loid discuss how she brought up Yuri. Twilight realizes that her brother loves her, and so she was Yuri's motivation to do better in his academics. Yor softly, gently leads him to the conclusion, that Loid should be Anya's motivation and give his daughter praise for small things to encourage her.

And Twilight from that point takes on Yor's advice on how to treat Anya. He appreciates when Anya is trying her best and tells her such (see the Stella episode and the 'take your daughter to work day' episode), all the while letting her know he is there to help her if she needs him to (see the 'Yuri tutors Anya' episode). Under Yor's influence, Twilight has learnt to be softer and more patient with Anya - remember, this man once barricaded his daughter inside the house.

But also, as the series progresses, Anya and Loid have become Yor's motivation, whether any of them notice it or not. Yor wants to be a loving mother to Anya, a good partner to Loid, a thorough dog-groomer to Bond, a better cook for everyone's sake, and as she vowed in the Cruise Arc, to KILL HARDER for her family... So Loid and Anya - they give Yor all the smiles and praise whenever she tries her best.
