Colombia ha @kookscolombia: Are you promoting the new album in Lollapalloza? @lukekook: we are doing the US lolla but no plans as yet for South America, love to tho @kookscolombia: What’s the motive of bringing Funky and R&B back? @lukekook: you know it’s funny it’s a zeitgeist thing I guess, we just gravitated towards that side of us it’s always been there but we Went for it this time. I love that we kept the guitars on most the record but changed up the beat patterns it’s a lot of fun to make. Also you know we really wanted to make a party record @kookscolombia: do you keep presents from fans? @lukekook: haha well I have a really cool Brazilian flag actually with loads of quotes on it. It’s in my little studio also have some cool little trinkets from the Japanese fans they are so generous @kookscolombia: what song currently stucks in your mind? @lukekook: Ask Yourself by Foster The People. Also the new Poalo song is on a lot at mine, scream. @kookscolombia: What do you think about the buzz the new song had? @lukekook: Well it feels good I’m glad it’s been divisive with people. The next tune is gonna freak people out even more @kookscolombia: Any weird place where you have composed/written a song? @lukekook: I write a lot under my kitchen table with a candle. #vibrations @kookscolombia: Something we gotta ask: when are you coming to South America? Peru, Colombia, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina in the plans? @lukekook: fuck I wish I knew it’s so early to say I hope this year we’re dying to come over and specially to places we haven’t seen yet. Sorry can’t be more specific but it’s top of the list for sure @kookscolombia: How do you feel about the band right now that you have a permanent drummer? @lukekook: it’s so great, alexis has injected so much into the band already we’re all on the same page for the first time in a while @kookscolombia: Tell us something about Alexis @lukekook: Alexis has great hair. He’s just pure spirit you know, you hear it in the recordings @kookscolombia: What’s that pedal that is a key piece of your pedal board? Favorite guitar? @lukekook: It’s a distortion/delay crazy fuct sounding mofuka.. At the moment I’m loving my Gibson sonex @kookscolombia: Why did you decided to put a song about your dad in this album? Why exactly on this album? @lukekook: It felt like the right time and I’m glad I did. It’s my anthem for anyone that’s lost someone.
