This is where I post my reactions to the kdramas as I watch each episode. I try to avoid spoilers, but no promises.

I usually avoid using names for several reasons:

Autocorrect is vicious and I tend to not reread what I wrote before posting… until a long time later.

It’s always super late when I watch and want to just make it easier on my sleep deprived brain and not worry about spelling at 1-5am.

I’m also horrible with names. Not even kidding. I’d rather not butcher everyone’s names.

I’ll eventually list & rate the shows I’ve watched (at least the ones I can remember).

Well, that’s a twist I didn’t see coming. I kinda feel like she shouldn’t be eating tteokbokki and other things like that.

It’s been a few weeks since I b watched anything.

Why are her parents acting like there’s only one kind of cooking job in the world?

OMG so cute how ML’s dad spun ML’s mom like that. Cute romance moments between parents are not in enough kdramas.

Why did he not put inside slipper.. shoes on top clean that?

I’ve never seen an adult pour water so messily. She spilled half of it.

I’ve never seen anyone kill a plant faster than I can before.

OMG the ex’s face is starting to piss me off. He needs to take a damn hint.

How many fucking times does she have to say she doesn’t want to get back together before he will take NO for an answer??? This shit isn’t romantic. It’s rage inducing that he is ignoring what she wants taking to wear her down so he can get what he wants.

FL is just as bad with her being so wishywashy about sticking to her decision. She’s not bending but she is sending mixed messages. She needs to figure out what she wants then say that to both guys.

The romance so far is disappointing and FL and her ex are making it hard to enjoy the drama. The bestie and her romance with the reporter are the only thing keeping me watching at this point. I’m having a hard time seeing why there was so much hype for it.

I’m eavesdropper in reporter’s office is my new favorite character.

Now THAT is how you ask Sinaloa to reconsider after a rejection. No stalking. No aggression. No entitlement. Just a kind request.

Jfc FL’s ex coworkers are condescending assholes. Who tf talks shit about someone who was sick?? The guy who actively bullies her needs his ass kicked but that woman calling her “little girl” over and over is so rage inducing. FL is a grown ass woman not a fucking child.

Who puts someone’s contacts in like that? No one. Because outside at night in the morale of a party is dumb af. Go inside and let her touch her own eyes after wanting her hands. She’s about to get pink eye.

People who think depression is a choice really piss me off.

Also, to expect someone to go through something like that but still come out as exactly the same person after is ridiculous.

Honestly, people are stupid and exhausting and this show does too good of a job showing it. This is why I prefer dogs. At least their bs is cute.

Ugh I hate when people save up everything they are adopted about them blow up on someone. If you have a problem with someone about a thing, then bring it up then.

OMG it took me 25 days to watch episode 7. I’ve been so tired this past month. But then I did write 1/3 off the longest book I’ve ever written and woke up every morning at 630 to do so. While working a second job, training a husky, and a lot of other stuff.

On to episode 8.

Why is she pretending that he didn’t just say what he said 30 seconds ago?

That’s so sad… she wanted a message more than anything.

Her ex is really pushing me the fuck off. He doesn’t give a shit what she wants. He’s going to hound her until she gives in or murders him.

ML’s dad did a sweet thing in such a cold way. But it’s so hard to respect him for not just asking his wife about his suspicions instead odds assuming and silently being mean. Regardless whether she is being a shitty person or not.

Okay. FL’s ex is really pissing me off. The way she’s acting is like she’s submitting to him to avoid being beaten. But she’s also starting to piss me off too.

The absolute rage I feel every time FL’s ex days their relationship isn’t over when she’s been more than clear. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

The two of them and their posing contest is literally ruining her joy for cooking right now. I’d be losing my shit right about now if I was her.

I love the conversations this group of women have. They are so real and they don’t pretend aging is only going gray.

Ugh I HATE the ex for pulling that stupid trick. She checked on him because she doesn’t hate him. But he’s not taking her “I don’t want to talk to you“ and he’s not respecting it. 

Okay FL’s bestie is being kinda dumb about that shirt.

That pharmacist took advantage off of him. XD All those ointments are not necessary.

Did they forget or are they planning a surprise?

It’s probably more effective to put medicine on an injury and not just around it.

It’s taking me weeks to watch an episode. Not because it’s not good—it is— but I only watch before bed and getting up at 630am every day makes it hard to watch more than 1 minutes at a time before I’m too tired to read subtitles.

Her ex really pisses me tf off. She’s made it clear she doesn’t want to get back together and he’s still trying to manipulate the situations and her into making it happen. NO MEANS NO! I did not come with the social norms to be nice about that kind of thing. I would so lose my shit at him.

ML’s ex on the other hand sees people’s feelings and tries to be helpful.

Oof. That’s sad for ML’s mom. But she skittle probably learn to communicate with people.

I’ve always loved ML’s ears. So random, but they give him such an innocent/sweet vibe.

lol I love this reference. He was freaking adorable in that show. It’s one of my comfort dramas. Their love was just so sweet. They were just a little stupid at the end but they got over that (I still want a 5-60 minute extension of their HFN though.)

He’s brave for making that joke when she’s holding a knife like that.

I really wish this was on Vicky instead of Netflix. I feel like Vicky has slightly more accurate subtitles that are more literal or at least have translator notes. But I also like the solid background under the titles. It makes it easier to read. Netflix subtitles I’ve always been slightly frustrating Because sometimes they blend into the background or they flash super fast or just have weird timing. 

I really like that sweater of his that she’s wearing. It’s cute. I want it. 

No one works that hard to convince themselves they don’t have have feelings unless they do have feelings.

I mean FL’s mom isn’t entirely wrong. Sure a lot of people can be lazy and be happily unemployed while letting everyone else take care of them while they contribute nothing to anything(I consider SAH people who d take care of things to be employed because they are actively working, payment is just different), but I’m employed and paid well enough I don’t need a second job… I just work one because I enjoy it. (I actually love both jobs).

Food service is a hard pass for me, but I think I’d be cool with making 김밥. As long as it included being able to move around, not standing in one place for too long. My body hates that.

Honestly, I don’t know how it took her that long to get bored. I would’ve been bored the first day by lunch. 

🤣🤣🤣 I’ve seen this actress so many times before but can’t renege the titles of the dramas. But I remember that I’ve lived here acting in each one. She’s so underrated and talented.

Honestly, I would have expected the medics to leave their shoes on. That’s time critical to a sick or injured person. The floor can be cleaned or replaced. A life cannot be replaced.

Also, there’s putting them back on when leaving. If they did it just for the set because it wasn’t real, then they could have cut that out of the scene. It wouldn’t have taken away from anything. But I’m questioning why they didn’t just cut it. … Not that it matters either way.

Why do you look so sad to see her interviewing? Doesn’t he want her to get a job?

Most people don’t do what they want because most people don’t know what kind of job they actually wanna do. Having a job job you enjoy doing doing makes a huge difference. It’s the only reason why I work two jobs. Because I love them both and they both give me different things and reasons to be proud and fulfilled.

I’m glad it wasn’t weird sport injury.

But are most drivers in Korea just plowing into people and forgetting how to use their eyes and breaks?

Well, obviously with the cheese level of their relationship that’s literally the only thing he’d do that would mean not answering the phone.

I think leaving for 1-5 years to do work stuff before coming back to resume a relationship is dumb af MOSTLY (entirely) because it’s almost always the two having zero contact the whole time—which was not the case here and the only thing that really saved the scenario for me. 

If you’re still lovesick, why don’t you apologize for treating her like crap?

I’m glad they addressed the reason why FL changed her appearance completely/the printing press.

Overall, I really did like this show even though there were moments where some characters were a bit frustrating.

A few things I loved the most were:

the way they had the Main couple communicate and still be in a relationship while they were apart.

That they included some relationships that were different (the editor in chief with a 15yr younger man age gap, bestie with a mini/1year younger classmate age gap, & the one who wanted to date the CEO’s nephew but ended up falling for the sweet non chaebol and embraced not needing a big expensive wedding because the only important thing to her was being with him.)

The chaebol being a regular guy who wanted to learn the business from the main floor and actually preferred that, but wasn’t what anyone expected him to be in appearance or personality.

I also loved that FL and bestie made up and there were real apologies.

But Whyyyy didn’t they have ML apologize for his early treatment of FL?? Though I’m glad he could see she was beauty with her natural hair and skin.

One thing I hated was how so many people saw writers writing with focus and wouldn’t leave them alone. lol I personally would not have been quite so friendly about that.

Okay it was obvious he was Ten but dude… wtf Why wait until after shit was submitted to the printer instead of saving everyone at least a day earlier???

Of course ML’s dumb ass would focus on the NOT IMPORTANT bit. 🥴 he has a chance to take decent photos and ask the right questions but wanted to hear that it was all for his girlfriend. 🙄 schmegegge.

That publisher is full of 💩. There’s no way you don’t communicate with an author before you sign them. They would’ve been famous at that point so they wouldn’t get the privilege of staying 100% anonymous even to the publisher. They’d also need their legal information to pay them.

They would NOT be subject to the author’s whims and had wait for the MS via email. They would be able to contact them. Bad business otherwise.

Secondary couple lady is a bitch to that guy. She dated him because she thought he was so important. She didn’t even like him for him. But he genuinely liked her, even though she was horrible.

Is Bestie’s dad really asking why she quit?

I kind of like that there was a point to make a character who can’t drink.

I love that she’s trying to save get boyfriend’s money but if she said beef or even pork instead of chicken they would have been slightly more likely to go for something else.

Pretty damn convenient that he didn’t flesh back to how disgustingly horrible he was to her.

Now FL is being a dumbass too. Fine whatever she doesn’t deserve gum guy.

He’s trying so hard to be all “let’s date!” And she’s tweeting so hard to be oblivious. I hope she hurt his feelings like he hurt hers so many times because he sucks. He’s not even gonna apologize for any of that shit he just is gonna pretend like he wasn’t a complete asshole to her for no reason other than he didn’t think she was who she is.

This is about the 4th a 5th time some subtitles are missing. 2-3rd time this episode.

Hearing English will never stop being weird. It sounds so blunt and choppy compared to Korean.

Finding a way to go to the house of the fork you like when she wants space is not cool.

Her parents watching him sleep is a bit funny. Bit would be creepy in rl.

lol she did NOT make those. 🤣🤣 that’s not even believable. She may have DESIGNED them and had run machine made/hired an actual jeweler to make them. But she, herself didn’t make them. You can tell a jeweler by their missing fingerprints on the thumb, forefinger, and sometimes middle finger of their non dominant hand… plus all the punishing compound damn near permanently embedded in their finger tips/nails.

OK, so this hug is kind of super weird. We know she’s the one he’s been looking for. But he doesn’t know that she is… I get along with my boss, but it would be weird if he ran up to me and hugged me like that.

😭😭😭 but HE did get into an accident and injured himself to try to get to her.

So he basically said he’d hurt the girl he’d been searching for if another one makes him feel things. And he wouldn’t remove himself from the situation or just break up with her but would continue to do things that he knows would hurt. Which I know is supposed to be romantic because he’s actually falling for the one he’s been looking for, but he doesn’t know that. And his world she is not the one that he’s been looking for.
