okay so I'm thinking about some of the pop girls rn and I don't know exactly what my opinion is completely tbh.
I'm all for women expressing their sexualities openly and wanting to look and feel sexy. Love that, go for it. I'm also fine with them making money by being sexy and sexualizing themselves.
Where it gets a little iffy for me is when they're doing it constantly. Not to slutshame. Get that bag and use the patriarchy to your advantage.
But to be in that mindset constantly? That your sexuality, appearance and body are a product, a brand, and a commodity to sell and make money for you and the company holding the cards for your career? I'm not a scientist or an expert as of now, but I don't think that's a healthy relationship to have with yourself. Or to promote to your fans. Especially if it's someone who's BARELY of age or under like 25. Your whole personality and brain and understanding of the world is developing still at that point.
That's just my thoughts, obviously and I'm just a girl on the internet, but it's something that's been on my mind for a bit.
