"Drugs? Engex?"
"You do know what anarchist commune means, right honey?"
It feels silly to ask but do you know how to restring an instrument?
"Of course. Let's take a look at it."
She leaves for a moment and returns with her electro-bass. Two of the strings had snapped while she was playing.
"I never learned how...there was no point we didn't have replacement strings. Im surprised it lasted this long to be honest."
"Good thing Sounders found some then, yeah?" Jazz grins. "Let's take a look. It's a whole lot like mine...I'm guessing maybe it used to be mine, somewhere else?"
She smiles lightly. "Yeah it was, This is the first instrument I learned to play. He gave it to me one day out of the blue. He said "The world deserves to hear you play Little Spark."
Why did she feel guilty? "Anyways, can you show me how?"
"That's just what I'm fixin' to do," Jazz says with a grin. "You got the strings Sounders found for you here, Little Spark?"

Send Smash or Pass + a name and my muse will say if they would smash or pass on that person.
Before either one of them can reply, Jazz strides up to all of them. One arm goes around Soundwave and the other around Ricochet. Ravage makes a plaintive little noise because she knows they are going to walk fast now, and Soundwave picks her up to carry her.
"Howler said there was a security issue I needed to see in this hall. Did it with a straight face, too."
Ricochet brightens visibly, lip plating twisting in a grin; he shoulders into Jazz, just a little, with a rumble of his engine. "Hey there, bro." is greeted. "Finally decided to throw in with us Cons, huh?"
"I'm with them, and they're Cons, so I guess," Jazz says, squeezing Rico's shoulders. His expression's a little sheepish.
"Me n'him were runnin' backup ops, tryin t'figure out how to make an end of the war without either side losin' too bad, cause a grand conquest either way, well, that'd just lead t'the whole thing all over again, an' well...in the middle of all that, I kinda fell for these two. Look at'em though, can y'blame me?"
Jazz might actually be showing an energon flush. Just a little.
"But you knew about some of that, didn't ya? I mean...you were kinda in on it. Because by the time it got to this state, Megatron weren't no better than Prowl, and I know y'know it. But it's good to be back on the same side's you, that's for sure. Missed y'somethin' fierce."
He presses his helm briefly to Ricochet's shoulder.
"What a big fuckin' mess. M'just glad we all came out of it alive and close enough to sane that we could drive ourselves back."
"Sap." Ricochet huffs, but his yellow visor glints with amusement. "Still gonna kick yer aft fer followin' a Prime. ... But then we're good, prolly." He allows.
A pause. ::Missed ya too, Djazzan.::
"I didn't follow the Prime," Jazz said, and glanced away. ::I followed the Pax. But Iacon broke him.::
At the time of the schism, Orion--whom the elders had named the Pax--had still been saying all the right things.
Jazz hadn't really understood that he didn't know what they meant anymore.
Soundwave leans into him a little. He knows that Soundwave knows what they're thinking, even though he isn't actively listening to anyone's comms right now.
It took a long time for him to tell Soundwave this sorrow. They had lost their community and their Convoy, their kith, their traditions, their language. Iacon had been brutal, that way. Rico and Jazz had been old enough not to forget things.
Orion, apparently, had not.
"Whaddya call signin' on wit' the Autobots?" Ricochet responds, half rhetorical, and nudges Jazz again. ::Slag Iacon. I'm glad those fraggers got t'see their world torn apart..::
A brief pause. ".... Anyway. Glad ta see ya landed on yer pedes. Always do."
"Not the Prime," jazz said wearily. "Pax Ortolan, ya'Stanizi, Great Convoy, the chosen. I was unaware at the time that he'd died before reaching maturity."
::Iricoche-ben'an, I believed him when he said there was darkness in Megatron that could never be conquered. And about that at least, I'm not sure I was wrong.::
"You shouldn't discuss this out here," Soundwave says almost reflexively, "but here, we are home." He opens the door to his hab. "A bit crowded, I know. Rumble and Frenzy moved out. Sometimes Jazz sleeps in their room. You can stay there as well, if you like, Rico."
Once they're inside, he looks up at them both. "Don't forget, that as much as I love you, Jazz, and respect your work, Rico...that I'm really not one of you. I'll hear whatever you're willing to say in my presence, and I never understood why you didn't all rise up against the old order that oppressed you--but I don't have the right to know some of these things, do I? I'm not a car or a truck and I barely have wheels. I was born as a music box."
"Well I don't mind," Ravage says. "Just tell me what I'm not to Record. So much of Cybertron's history has been lost along with the peoples Liaconia finished off after the Quintessons wounded us all."
Ricochet's armour flares in a shrug, because what else can he say to that? He knows the War; why it started, and what it became.
He hadn't trusted anyone very much anymore either-- especially Authority Figures. ::Least Megatron didn't support th'status quo.:: He responds finally, and then relents.
Yellow visor flickers, gaze shifting from his brother to Ravage, and he speaks aloud, expression slightly more guarded. "Don' remember everything we knew once." The darker coloured mech drawls. "But can prolly tell ya some of it. Or most o'it. Dunno."
A cycled vent. "An' sure! I'll crash in that room, with'r without Jazz."
Ravage nods. "Only what you want to tell me, and can. I didn't even know that your people existed until Jazz told me about it."
::I admired Megatron once, too.:: Jazz sighs. "I have a place of my own but I rarely use it. I haven't liked being alone for a while."

"I hope not," Soundwave says, and there might be the slightest hint of magenta just under his blast mask.
Ravage giggles a little. "Not that kind of surrender," she says, and turns to Ricochet directly. "Thank you," she says. "Too many people didn't take me into account for the longest time. Soundwave doesn't want command, for his own reasons. I do."
She appreciates the offer of the hole punch, but the whole point of the assassination thing is for Galvatron not to know that she's coming for his spark. The hole punch would be a big clue.
Ricochet resolves to pounce Jazz, the moment he can. Some things can only be resolved by a good ol'fashioned squabble.
"... Well. At least I can take out anyone who tries ta interfere." He concedes, taking another swig of his energon cube.
"You're welcome to help," Ravage says with a grin. "As long as you understand that stealth is what we're doing. I want to get in there, kill him in front of another Recorder so they can't say I faked it, and get out of there without attracting the attention of his entire fucking army. I might kill Thunderblast, too. She posted a picture of me with my spike out--it wasn't even pressurised--at the same time she posted the two of them together. A two-million year outtake from a photo shoot i did with the Refraktors for propo!"
"Do it," says Buzzsaw.
Soundwave pats her shoulder. He wouldn't kill Thunderblast himself, and if he did that wouldn't be why. But he won't tell Ravage not to, either.
Then he looks at Rico sidewise. "You really do want to fight him. Why? He's out of the Autobots and he works with our security committee. I don't understand why anyone from the Convoys followed Orion, but he was in your...clade? Until the Iaconians broke up your caravan and stole all the younglings. You and Jazz were old enough to be sent to boarding school, and strong enough to resist it. They gave Orion to Alpha Trion, and he was stil small then."
"Ain't just a brawler." Ricochet huffs. "Best sharpshooter this side'o the solar system. Figured I'd hang back, swat any pests who come buzzin' in too close." It's a genuine offer, and he offers another tilt of his helm, lips curling back in a grin with a hint of fang. "Clear a path for you. Or keep th'buzzards off your backs. Whichever."
A pause, and his attention refocuses on Soundwave, shaking his helm. "... Couple reasons. Mostly siblin' stuff. But I promised, tol' him when he went Autobot that if I ever saw 'im face ta face, I was gonna kick his aft fer siding with them in the first place. Mean ta keep that promise."
Another shrug. "Can do it in fight club though."
"It was the big hole commentary that worried me," Ravage says lightly. "Big holes are noisy. I like little ones that go just exactly right where they're needed, so the bastards go down very quiet. You're welcome to come along. Soundwave has to stay back, or they'll never believe he didn't do anything to help me, so of course he'll fret."
Soundwave sighs. He so doesn't want to think about that.
"Fair," he says. "Ravage still isn't speaking to Stripes."
"Stripes didn't just go Autobot," Ravage says sourly. "He also took up with Blaster. Who told people you were a cassette-fragger and I was a mindless slut you broke in. Stripes can go rot in the Pit."
Soundwave sighs again. "Well. I can't deny that you were a cassette, and that I fragged you. Repeatedly."
"And had been since long before I was ever a cassette, because we were sparkbound and known to be consorts!"
Ricochet shrugs. "Ain't a problem if it's got a silencer. B'sides, never said I'd take Galvatron on. Jus' that ah might thin his ranks a bit, any o'them try ta get clever."
Another fanged smirk, and then he's shaking his helm, moving on as his last gulp drains the cube he's drinking.
"... Anyways. Here now, an' got no current plans ta move on. Ya can even have my ship if ya want, fer now."
Before either one of them can reply, Jazz strides up to all of them. One arm goes around Soundwave and the other around Ricochet. Ravage makes a plaintive little noise because she knows they are going to walk fast now, and Soundwave picks her up to carry her.

"Its not much but I got you my favorite brand of glitter wax. It sparkles really nicely under club lighting."
"Heeeyyy, I can always use that." Jazz grins. "I'm afraid I don't know you very well yet so I got you a voucher for the open market--and a bunch of old scores I found that remind me of you, because I'm selfish and I want to play them along with you."
Would you still love me if I was a worm?
Of course, because if you were a worm I'd be one too and so would the rest of us.
Our conversations would be much less interesting, though, and I would miss the music.
"We could make music by screaming.....do worms scream?" Cue a pause as she looks it up. "No they don't, you're right that would be sad"
"Worms are quieter than either you or me have ever been in our lives," Jazz says with a chuckle. "Prob'ly quieter than Viridian."
Would you still love me if I was a worm?

Jazz's sexual orientation is: "yes, please". He has had a lot of casual sex and one-night stands and he has also used sex as a method of getting access to information and other operational goals in the past.
I'm not sure about his romantic orientation other than that he's only allowed himself to express romantic feelings toward Soundwave, Ravage and Mirage. (Also, while he definitely has romantic feelings for Ravage now, and has always had a lot of respect for her, he decided to court her when Soundwave announced that he'd been an idiot not officially taking Ravage as his conjunx long ago. Jazz decided that since he didn't want to give up Soundwave he would have to have them both. He is also the reason those two realised that monogamy isn't really their thing whether they're separated or not.)
Fun fact: the first time Jazz and Soundwave had sex, they were both in disguise attending a concert and, not recognising each other, hooked up in a cycler stall. Soundwave hadn't had enough contact with Jazz's mind to recognise him as Jazz when all of his thoughts were about the music, dancing, and how hot the guy he was dancing with was. They were both extremely freaked out when the disguises failed, largely because non-permanent frame paint doesn't tend to withstand the presence of transfluid and other internal lubricants.
Jazz is good with watching and being watched. One of the best things about being involved with a couple (aside from the threesomes) is the fun of watching two people you love together and knowing that the partner of the person you're with gets off on seeing you two together. If he had been a Decepticon he would have enjoyed the infamous Conclave parties of the early years of the movement.
Jazz likes kissing during sex when it's possible to do so. For instance he's happy to get Soundwave's mask off. Kissing Ravage during sex is not as easy because his torso is significantly longer than hers and if either spike is in either valve their faces are just not close enough to each other, especially since kissing a person with minimal lip and maximal teeth requires that you both pay attention to what you're doing. He will definitely do the aftercare but he may not stay in bed long afterwards if he's not tired enough to fall into recharge.

"I.... read your note." Mirage murmurs. "Thank you, Jazz." (@indespectus )
"I love you, you know." Jazz ducks his head a bit.
"Also, I been watchin' you and the Princess, and you are adorable together."

You probably don't remember this, but I played at one of the festivals shortly after your debut and I wanted to steal you away and set you free. But that was a different world and it was never gonna happen. Even if I found another caravan you weren't going to live with the Convoys, and I could never have afforded you.
I don't even know what the right word is for what I like about you. You're like a delicate crystal flower, except you have wheels and you're faster than any Tower prince was ever supposed to be, and when you aren't being judgemental and just let everyone be themselves--which is hard for you sometimes, I know--you make everything you do beautiful.
When you manage to turn off your anxiety, you radiate serenity and peace.
I tried to be careful with you, because I had so much power over you, and because I knew I could never give you the life that you want, and because I knew I could end up dead. I really tried hard not to make you fall for me. I knew it wasn't right.
Do not tell The Princess Who Gets What He Wants* this, but he was a princess before he was a prime; you have it in you to become a queen**.
I like the things you create, the sillage of serenity that surrounds you, and your quiet sensibilities, and sometimes I do not know what to do with you, but I love the way you make me feel.
(*this is what Princess is short for) (**and Ravage is one of the loveliest and most gracious femmes in the universe, but she is Lord High Protector all the way down to her spark. She is not a queen. I tried once to tell her she was, and she corrected me politely but exhaustively.)
