Send me ✏️ for a shitty little scribble of your muse
Even robot cats sleep weird, too.
Yes, and despite being half my size, she takes up 75-80% of the berth when she does that, easily!
(I love her with all my spark so I don't care) Thank you for drawing her! <3
good job, humans
Zoo staff teamed up with a Baylor College of Medicine virologist to create the new vaccine, which will prevent a devastating viral disease.
He has no idea how to cook.
Best he can do is McDonald's.
"Query: does Rodimus wish to learn to bake or is this a convoluted method of asking Soundwave to do so?"
Sparkthief and Catfish were very excited about the fire.
Soundwave himself is less so.
"Spent six weeks convincing Sparkthief that McDonalds is only for humans. You are not helping."
".... Uh." Rodimus responds.
He looks at Soundwave. At the by now charcoal item. Back at Soundwave. ".... It was going to be a cheeseburger. Or... A version of one at least."
"You eat human food now?" Soundwave sighs. There is a McDonald's in Europa Port. It's for humans. Rafael says it isn't as good as In-n-Out, and Soundwave is more than willing to take their word for that, because Soundwave does not eat cheeseburgers. Or like cleaning up after sparklings who ate them illicitly.
"Please do not cook human food in my oven."

soundwave looking pretty while doing nothing worthy in s2 besides standing next to ravage <3
@kytherion
I must have done something or she would not be making that face
why is she purple
“I want to ask him sometimes if I am not enough of a challenge. I’ve been won. I’ve been conquered. I am a safe harbor and a warm hearth and unconditional.
But that is unkind to both of us. I’m not an object and he loves me.”
"Grandmother...you have no more been conquered and won than Ravage has. Love can only be given, freely and without conditions; if it is obtained by coercion, conquest, trickery or combat, it is not love; it is something else, which neither I nor Megatron would want."
Soundwave smiles fondly. "She loved the roses, by the way."
little creature, little creator
it's hard to read the old glyphs sometimes and we all get confused with declensions and suffixes, except Ravi
but I like little creatures - I married one
and now I have all of these sparklings-- I would not want to live in a place without odd noises and messes I don't think I made
that would be lonely
He can not help this.
Sparkthief: needs to come down out of vent and get creacher cuddles.
But this is his den!
Mayhaps this creachur requires some delicious bait; he is HIDING and his field is alight with mischievous joy.
"I have made a special dessert for after our dinner with Remix tonight. There are two large spoons with batter on them, and Catfish might lick both of them if you do not make haste."
Will that tempt my hungry creachur, I wonder?
Attention. Excitement.
Wiggle. Wiggle.
POUNCE!
Sparkthief pops out of the vent to LEAP for MamaWave.
"Treat spoon!!"
Soundwave catches him, gives him a big kiss on the cheek, and presents him with the spoon. "I love you," he says, cuddling the bitlet.
Sparkthief cuddles in, chirping happily, grabbing for the spoon in one small hand. "Love, too! Treat and you!" He enthuses, then giggles when it rhymes.
"All my bitties get treats. Even if they have been naughty and have to repair broken feelings or replace broken possessions. I will always love you, no matter what you do; I just want you all to be kind," Soundwave says firmly.
Sparkthief looks at him, solemnly, then pats at MamaWave's faceplates. "... Love you. Listen good." He promises. "Not only listen for treat."
"I know," Soundwave says, with equally fond solemnity. "You are a good bit. I'm glad I found you and even gladder that I was allowed to keep you."

"Happy father's day! I planned a nice dinner for tonight with the whole family. Don't worry I'm not cooking."
@kytherion
Soundwave looks at her, bemused. "That's a holiday? But I'd love to have dinner with everyone, of course." He holds out his arms to her.
"Yep! An entire day dedicated to celebrating dads, fathers, sires, or whatever term is used." She gives him a big hug. "There's going to be gifts too"
Soundwave loves hugs like that. He doesn't let go of her for a few seconds, but...
Gifts? "Did you tell everyone else they were supposed to give me presents?"
Soundwave's face purples slightly; he doesn't wear a mask inside the suite, although the visor's always on outside of his room, because it blocks out more than just unwanted light.
"What about Jazz? You have two fathers, right? If it means Sire, then it's more Ravage's day than it is mine, but I thought it just meant 'male parent'. Ravage can't carry, or at least she couldn't back then. All of the children I've had with her were carried by me, except for the ones that my brother forged with the sparks he stole from us."
"Gifts do tend to be given, but I only mentioned it. No one has to get gifts but those of us who did wanted to."
She pauses to think for a moment. "Well, Jazz is my carrier. Obviously, cybertronians can carry regardless of gender but only human women can carry. Hence, Mother equals Carrier. So Jazz gets Mother's Day even if he is a male parent."
"As for Ravi, she's not my Sire or Carrier, but she's still one of my parents. I think of her like a step-mom, so mothers Day it is."
"The more I think about the less sense it makes but I've gone this far already."
"I just don't want to misgender anyone," Soundwave says. "Ravage and Howlback were 'it' for the first few years of their lives and then 'he'. Ravage put up with that longer than Howlback did, but Howlback was never a spy, and sometimes Ravage is fluid."
He shrugs. "I know Jazz was your carrier...but I don't know how he'd feel about being called 'mother'. Most people assume that they're gendered terms, because humans do this silly thing where they call roles different things if a man or a woman is doing them, never mind that a lot of people don't seem to be either one."
He shrugs again. "Some people, like you, map sire and carrier to father and mother. And for me...it seems like for humans, 'mother' and 'father' are two different jobs. Viridian says Ravi's her mother and I am her mom, and I am her father but Ravi's her dad. And Sparkthief and Catfish both call me Mamawave."
He laughs. "I'm fine with either one, but I don't know how Jazz feels. No-one's ever asked him in front of me, so he's never thought about it in front of me."
"That's a good point, I'll ask him and Ravi what term they'd prefer, I'd rather use something they are comfortable with. In the end, I guess it all just comes down to personal preference."
"Gender is complicated." She shrugs.
Soundwave cracks a smile at her. "Even before I got the Bauble," he says, "I always knew that there were parts of me that didn't fit into any of the labels. Male is as close as it gets, for the parts of me that exist in the world and interact with everyone else. Since I really don't care about pronouns, using the most common ones works for me."
He shrugs.
"Besides. I'm literally really complex--I have more cores in my processor than anyone's really supposed to, and sometimes I'm aware of the other worlds out there, which is...not as much fun as it sounds. But honestly? I don't think anyone, of any species, completely fits into those labels.
"The humans are just more confusing than most of us because enough of them have the same gender and interface array combinations that they think they should be able to tell what gender somebody is just by looking."
"Generally speaking, I don't care about gender. You want to identify as a mech, cool. Oh, you don't like any gender? Awsome. It's the person that matters to me. I think the term is gender blind, Gender doesn't influence my decisions."
"Personally, I prefer using she and they pronouns depending on the day, but for the most part, I don't care as long as you don't refer to me as he or it."
She shrugs and then breaks into a grin. "Humans are confusing in more ways than one, but I like them. At least the nice ones."
"I regret that I didn't always think they were people. I couldn't hear them at first, but I finally learned how to listen." Soundwave sighs. "But they used to hate me and they had good cause, and now, somehow, it's me they trust and not Optimus, because he came back here and tried to annex the whole system."

“I think… I’ve come to terms with it. Or settled, or— something. It’s not important, is what I’m trying to say. Any divinity, real or imagined, is simply an attribute others put on me.”
Rung moves further into the rose archway, reaching to brush his digits over the fine wafer-thin crystal petals of a heavy bloom. The tips of his fingers come away stained a faint pink with dust, which he stares at for a moment before blowing off. “This is something that matters. The physical proof of life, and the delight we take in it. I cannot prove divinity, but I can prove the results of hard work.”
"I couldn't agree with you more," Soundwave says. "I'm still an atheist, because none of the beings I've met that have been defined as 'divinities' have met the criteria--which I think is very much for the best. And you and Loki are the only ones I ever liked."
His golden gaze lands on a high red bloom. "Ravage would like that one. May I take it for her?"
“I considered atheism. I’ve considered nihilism and fatalism, too. None of them held much appeal to me, but I am proud that you’ve found such steady confidence within yourself and your cohort. Truthfully. I’m glad. You of any of us deserve some form of solace, Soundwave, and I cannot imagine a deeper well to draw on. And— really— it seems like the less likable someone is, the more likely they want to impress how much importance they have in everything.”
That, at least, restores some of Rung’s usual good humor. “Ravage can have any of them. All of them, even, though I would hate to deny Megatron the pleasure of eating the heads of the flowers when he thinks I’m not looking. He prefers the paler yellow sulfurs.”
"Oh, I could never be a nihilist or a fatalist--and neither could you, apparently." Soundwave takes the red rose, and after a moment's thought, a second one. "Thank you. She likes the red ones. She likes the way they smell...and also the way they taste."
He sighs. "I don't need an all knowing, all powerful god to have faith in the future, faith in the universe: I don't need one to celebrate the seasons and the holy days, which were things I scorned in my youth, because in the Tower where I grew up, all of the celebrations were empty of love. I just need my conjunx, and my children, and my lovers...and my grandmother."
That's a shy little smile, even if you can see it through a blast mask.
"The festivals are for us, because life is what matters, and community. What I believe in is you--and Ravage, first of all, because she and Shocky were the first people who actually cared about me, and Jazz, and Rodimus...and the children. I love you, and I love our lives, and our community, and all the things we do to fix the world we broke, which was also broken before we were born. The divinity is in all of us, knowing the odds are against us and staying alive somehow anyway, because we're together."
