Letās pause for a moment to consider how cool it is that when Porter and Hugo both secluded themselves away to work on their albums, they didnāt travel to some branded studio in Hollywood or Vegas, they went home. To their bedrooms. To those private realms where they were bewitched by their first loves, a love of music. Quiet bedrooms, in quiet homes, away from the roaring crowds, where they could re-enter electronic kingdoms, slay sonic dragons, and emerge with treasures from hidden worlds.
And jerk it.
Hello, everyone here!
Happy "Slightly More Than Two Years Since The Thing"! It's been slightly more than two years since the thing.Ā Cool.
Lots of things have changed since then. Hugo still hasn't released an album. But he's actually using his blog now, after sitting empty like a ticking time bomb for even longer than two years. Go say hi to him! Be nice! Spread love and flowers. Do not be shitty.
Sorry that this post is so...forced.Ā In case you haven't noticed, to the ridiculous number of people still following this blog and new followers who keep showing up, this blog has been mostly inactive for a long time now. You can follow the guy who used to run it though, even though none of his blog content has anything to do with any of this at all and he is pursuing more serious things!!!!
But yeah, a two year anniversary warranted a post. Happy two years, everyone! Is there still a Madeon fandom hanging around? Hello, next-gen Madeon fandom! Hopefully you're all rad.
FYI: @madeon ā¤ļø fried bananas.

Death of a Fanblog
Hello Madeonites.
Itās time. On January 23rd, 2012, one year ago today, this blog was created. Why? Weāre still not quite sure. What started as a couple of inside jokes between 10 people has exploded into something much, much larger. There are 450 people following us right now, and weāve seen references to our posts being made on other blogs and other websites, and even by Hugo himself. The rate at which all of this has spread is amazing. Hugo even owns a plush Lecsquirrel, a silly thing that we created, and he keeps it on his desk at home. We might even be responsible for the fact that most people refer to him as Hugo now rather than Madeon, since before this blog, barely anyone ever called him anything but his stage name.
Thank you everyone for coming along with us on this weird ride. But everything must come to an end. Jokes can be stretched too far and driven into the ground, and after a full year, they start to lose their humor. We donāt want to go down in fanblog history as one of those blogs that kept going until they werenāt funny and became embarrassing. Since this blog started, aĀ lotĀ of things have happened. This blog has changed lives, started relationships, even saved lives. It blows our mind to think about that sometimes, that something so simple and silly could have such a big impact.Ā When we started this blog, Hugo still had a relatively small following, and it has been amazing watching him grow and evolve as an artist and as a person.Ā We made a very conscious effort never to mention anything about this blog directly to Hugo (we only did it once, on his birthday), because we didnāt want to be āone of those blogsā that was pushy and annoying.Ā Before you ask, yes, Hugo was aware of this blog and watched it from afar, as were a few other producers that you probably know.
You might have noticed weāve gotten quiet over the past few months, and thatās not because weāve lost interest in Hugo, or in updating this blog. Itās just that our lives have changed quite a lot and other things have gotten in the way. Donāt worry, weāre not going to delete the blog. Itās just going to be inactive. Everything will still be here for you to browse and look through whenever you like.
Weād like to give a shout-out to fyeahmadeon, the oldest Hugo fanblog around, and madeonnn, who is great at finding new pictures and making gifs. Both of those blogs are run by very good friends of ours. Of course, weād also like to give a shout-out to all of the wonderful, wonderful people we have met and befriended over the past year. We love you all.
Only one of us has ever un-anonned himself, and thatās Nat. Nat has been primarily responsible for most of the content you have seen on this blog since the very beginning. If youād like, you can follow his personal blogĀ or his Twitter.
