Zane King, known only as Zane in professional and social circles, was often considered athletic royalty. Born to a gold medalist mother and a father with multiple Super Bowl rings earned over the course of his long and extremely successful football career, it was expected that Zane would follow in his parents footsteps. Early in his childhood there were presumptions made from the first time his tiny hands struggled to grip and hold the football his father had forced into them. Little league was never just a recreation for the young King heir. While most parents saw it as an extracurricular activity, designed to keep their children active and social, Mason King, believed it was the first step in his son’s future. Losses were scrutinized and Zane’s performance in those losing games were analyzed, dissected, and replayed hour after hour. Recreation became preparation.

At first he didn’t mind. Mason’s overzealous approach to his son’s youth league football career meant that for a small fraction of time, Zane had his father’s attention. There were no trips to play America’s favorite commentator. No long absences where Zane and his mother sat in silence at the dinner table where only the sound of their silverware could be heard tapping softly against their plates. For those moments in time, Zane mattered. Accepting his father’s sometimes constructive and offensive criticism, Zane pushed himself and his body further.

By the age of twelve, he was beginning to receive national attention. He’d led his youth league team from local success in the affluent suburbs of Atlanta to a chance at a national championship. There were whispers that Zane would follow in his father’s footsteps - high school all star, college elite, and finally a legend in the NFL. Fate had another path planned for Zane. He suffered a devastating injury during that game, ending his season and football career for nearly a year. During tat time his relationship with his father changed. He saw a shift in Mason’s relationship with him, Zane’s injury reminding the older King of exactly how his own career had come to an end. After months of a silent and almost unnoticed depression it was his football coach who encouraged him to begin working out again.

Instead of the field, it was the hardwood where Zane learned to run and jump, testing the new limits of his recently healed body. A new discovery was made and Zane began to participate in a sport that had never been associated with either of his parents. He was behind in his knowledge and skill but what he lacked in both categories, he easily made up for in will and determination. Broad shouldered, strong, and with a killer mentality, he easily made the transition from field to court. He was fearless driving the ball. Determination greeting any and every opponent that dared to challenge him on the court.

Zane had a starting spot on varsity, his freshman year of high school. Easily unseating the school favorite and stealing his spot. He was All- Team for all four years of his high school career. Easily winning the state’s highest award and carrying his team to a region championship. He had a full ride to the college of his choice, one known for sending their star recruits to the NBA after one season. He’d worked hard for everything he’d achieved. Distancing himself from his father’s shadow and establishing the foundation for his own legend, however, he couldn’t escape his last name. He couldn’t escape the whispers of those who hated him, saw him as a self-entitled brat who had used his last name and DNA to achieve his success.

His first year of college did little to erase the stigma associated with him. Much like he had in high school, Zane came in and unseated one of the favorites of the time. Stripping him of his starting position and the superstar in the eyes of fans and alumni. Proving himself on the court came easily, natural athleticism and years of training made his skills next level. Genetics were the reason to blame for his off court and sometimes on court attitude. Much like his father, Zane was conceited. Zane knew he was a star and that every other player rostered on that team wished they had the ability and talent he did. He took every chance to rub in their faces and his antics with teammates, often made post game highlights on ESPN.

Recruited by a championship NBA team during his junior year, Zane forewent his Senior year and entered the draft. Taken in the first round, he again made the transition from college to professional athlete. This time it wasn’t so easy. Scrutiny didn’t only come from his father’s and coaches but the public eye. Everywhere he went, he was followed. Pictures were snapped. Stories written and posted about what he ate, drank, or accompanied him home every night. While he didn’t enjoy the attention he made it work for him. His actions grew bolder and it made him popular with the media but not his coaches, the team’s owner, or even the commissioner. In the five years he has been actively rostered in the NBA, Zane has paid fines exceeding his yearly contracted salary.

In 2015, Zane encountered Carlos Gaviria for the first time. He’d recalled seeing him court side at a few games but it wasn’t until their paths crossed at a party during the off season that he became aware of the Gaviria family name and the influential and international wealth they held. That was the first summer he visited Los Sueños and by the end of the season, he’d unofficially taken on a host role. He returned for the next season, and the next - Why not do it again.

Pavel Guan, born Guan Jian-Ying is the third child in a family of five. He grew up in Chanqingxian a rural town in Hunan Provence. In the typical way, farming. He looked after the animals. spent his youth training horses and riding his horses to the local market. His main types of horse he trained were plough and cart horses.

He was good at school though never in the top set of students, comfortably sat in the middle of the pack. This was in most subjects excluding Art and poetry writing. The talent was shining through by age twelve whilst he was in middle school. He took a licking to oil paints and painting the girls in traditional festival wear during times of celebration.

It was in his final year in middle where upon find his elder sister’s fashion magazine sat on the living room table. He at the time had his sketching pad with him. He’d taken to the stables to sketch a horse he’d recently finished training. He flipped through the magazine. hand absently sketching messy doodles of the dress the women within the glossy pages wore.

It was his younger sister Xian-Qian how during in his first year of high school who’d found a sketch book of his half full of finely  sketches of dresses, skirts, necklaces and coats. She told her brother that she’d down it to her middle school art teacher. Jian-YIng in fact wasn’t happy at all that the teacher who infact had taught him, but in English had sent it off to a big city. Huaihua.

What he’d also had no clue about was that that teacher had send photos that Xian-Qian had taken with their father’s old camera. How ever it infact wasn’t until the next school year when he was sent a letter. from Huaihua Fashion house. requesting an interview as their scouts had seen potential in his looks as a new young model.

This was compounded as he was approached by an agent from that same agency about two months before he turned seventeen. They insisted his unique and rusting look would appeal to the city living population. He didn’t look as young as he was. toned tall with a deep tan due to years of being in the sun,

It took weeks to talk his dad around who’d became desperate to keep his eldest son since the passing of his wife during childbirth with Ying-Fang the youngest child.

Jian Ying’s father finally let go to his eldest son with the promise that this modeling would alleviate the struggling families financial issues. Jian-Ying was hell bend to the promise of moving his family to Changsha the provincial capital of Hunan. A modest size western styled house was his goal for his modeling income to afford his family a decent quality of life.

He moved to Huaihua, amazing buy the bustle and noise of he city. He’d come in the monsoon season so when he’d arrive at the agency build he’d been soaked through with the rain. He’d been hurried off to the dressing rooms after an executive had been drenched and leaning against the wall. It appeared the woman ha thought he was a natural at posing.

It was to be a mere four months after he was signed that the company went under, he was relocated to the new offices in Russia, Vladivostok in Russia. Adjusting to Russia was hard, he’d had no formal education in Russia upon arriving.

His verbal ability in Russian took a long while to develop however he was able to read Cyrillic with in the first few months in Russia. so he could navigate well without needing to talk to locals. Luckily he’d learnt English from elementary school in China and that second a common second language in most big Russian cites. As he found in his second year in Russia as he was catwalk model in Moscow Fashion week.

After a year and a half in Vladivostok he was transferred to the Agencies St Petersburg branch. Soon enough his time in Russia came along after two years in St Petersburg. His Agency bought out by and became a subsidiary of a Spanish fashion company after three years he was once again moved. In his final move to Valencia, Spain.

Axl was born into a family of farmers in the island of Jeju. Growing up in a large tangerine farm, he had a very memorable childhood. His parents developed their vast land into a tourist spot - a place for mainland and foreign tourists to relax and enjoy the island - that earned them a place on the map. Despite the change in the family’s fortune, they remained humble and private. Axl’s parents always thought they would never leave the land. They were happy there making good money while they enjoy their own home with family and friends. Things changed when the first tragedy hit in a form of greedy relatives that claimed ownership over Axl’s parents’ properties. They fought hard not to lose their land but eventually, it happened and Axl and his parents were driven away from their own home.

But Axl’s parents were thrifty and very good with money. With their savings, the family moved to Seoul against Axl’s wishes. But his parents reminded him of his dream of becoming a musician which he once expressed. He could still achieve that dream and make his own life in the city. He was encouraged to forget about their home in Jeju for it is no longer theirs. Right after their move, Axl was enrolled into a prestigious high school which he didn’t like. A year and a half in Cheongnam High and another tragedy hit the family. This time it was something Axl just couldn’t brush off or forget… He lost both parents in a car accident. He left Cheongnam and since no one really knew who Axl was, no one really cared what happened to him.

A few years later, Axl debuted as part of a five member band that took the South Korean music industry by storm. For ten years now, Axl maintained his career as part of his original band and a solo artist. He managed to keep his life outside work private but with his comeback on its way, all eyes are on him…

It was not a known fact back in high school that Axl - legally Dae-gyeong - has an identical twin brother named Dae-geun who also attended Cheongnam High. They were both against transferring to the prominent high school and often played pranks on kids and teachers they didn’t like. They got away with it because no one was really paying attention that there were two of them, as ridiculous as it may sound. They made it a point not to be seen together, making themselves unnoticeable just the way they intended. It also helped that they were never in the same class.

People who suspected and attempted to get Axl/Dae-geun in trouble usually ended up confused because the twins always had an alibi… They committed many small crimes in Cheongnam, a world of its own where the weak and unsuspecting could be chewed up and spit out without them even knowing. But Axl and Dae-geun manipulated their situation and made their own world where they are the only beings that existed. They didn’t mind that the outside world didn’t know them…

When their parents died, Axl and Dae-geun left Cheongnam and carried on with their life without looking back. Dae-geun was older and always felt responsible for Axl. Dae-geun was completely heartbroken after their parents death and made it his goal in life to take care of his twin brother. He made sure that Axl was able to train with the top entertainment agency, following up on the other twin’s dream of becoming an artist… Dae-geun never told Axl how he managed to get his brother into auditions, etc. He would do anything for his twin as Axl is the only family he has…

After many years of blood and sweat invested on Axl’s training, success finally came through. They managed to get their land back from their greedy relatives not necessarily by playing fair. Dae-geun and Axl learned that there is no such thing as playing fair. Playing fair is for the weak.

While Axl became a successful musician, Dae-geun worked as a freelance photographer, supporting his twin whenever he could and whenever he is needed. During his work as a photographer, he encountered people that are dangerous and had kept files of them which he thought he’d use in the future… Politicians, celebrities, big people whose names they can’t afford to be tainted… Dae-geun managed to keep files of them for his and his brother’s benefits. Axl isn’t living in one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in Seoul solely because they worked hard. They played the game and they plan to keep on winning. That’s how the twins survived.

When the news of Axl falling ill and needing immediate medical treatment, Dae-geun knew then that this was another time that they’d have to apply their own rules to the game. Axl realized this as well. He was to have a comeback soon - with his band aside from his own solo album. Axl can’t let his hard work go to waste and no one was going to snatch the spotlight from him. Dae-geun didn’t need convincing - After secretly taking Axl to America to be treated, he returned to Seoul to take his brother’s place as Axl.

When Dae-geun received an invitation from Carlos Gaviria, a well-known heir and event coordinator for the rich to return for the season, Dae-geun knew he had to respond and play the part - once again - as Axl.

The saying “Born with a silver spoon in one’s mouth” eptomises Young-Jae. The third child, the baby of the family and the only boy to two much older sisters, Young-Jae was destined to be spoilt from the moment his mother found out she was due to have a son. She had taken a long break between her second daughter and Young-Jae , twenty years to be precise and pregnant with her third child at the age of forty-two, her pregnancy would not be an easy one.  Her husband’s anxiety levels were through the roof and he all but wrapped her (and the unborn Young-Jae ) in cotton wool. He had two nannies as a toddler although his mother wanted to take care of him by herself. Young-Jae ’s father did not allow this, he controlled every aspect of Young-Jae ’s life and well-being, flying in Kumquats from organic gardens in Greece to hiring violin and piano virtuosoes from Japan to teach Young-Jae how to play exquisitely, to sending Young-Jae to study alongside the British Royal family at Eton only to fly him home every month to check that all was going well. Young-Jae never had to lift a finger for anything and all he had to do was pout or throw a tantrum to get his own way and that meant anything from the latest most exclusive Gucci bag or a private screening of his favourite movie, director and main actors included in the package like a popcorn and coke deal. At age six. Naturally he grew accustomed to getting his own way and his entitled attitude which was cute at said age became excruciatingly irritating at age sixteen. However that did not mean that things would change, heaven forbid.

He was certainly lucky to be showered in wealth and attention, but when his stern and controlling father passed away when Young-Jae was eighteen, he was oddly relieved. Sick of having to live out the life his father wanted and perhaps all the spoilt behaviour was just a cry for attention and for fatherly love. The old man was from a different generation where men did not show their love in affectionate ways. And although the females in the family adored and doted on the arrogant young man, he yearned for that from his father so while he was alive, he learned how to play five instruments, speak seven languages and he excelled at school and university. Young-Jae was talented academically and artistically. All in an effort to win his father’s approval. By the time he learned approval did not equate to affection his father was already sick and the process of grooming Young-Jae to take over as CEO in the holding had started. He was just nineteen, he did not want to be tied down with such responsibility just yet. He wanted to shop and party and travel. As his father withered away he played the obedient son and after a brief spell of mourning he became the party boy he wanted to be. And that, too became boring six months in. He wondered how much people would like him and want to hang out with him had he not been the third most wealthy man in South Korea. His arrogant nature chimed in once again and those fleeting thoughts were banished and once again he rose up. Designer brands surrounded him as did loud giggles at practically every word that came out of his mouth. Champagne flowed as did an endless supply of ‘friends’ But Joon grew restless as boredom for his surroundings and those in it set it. quite honestly there was only so much grovelling and ass-licking he could take so he decided to pursue his interest elsewhere. With old money came expectations and those expectations along with the ones held by his family and others were heavy on Carlos Gaviria Sáez’s shoulders. The Gaviria name was synonymous with wealth and prestige after centuries in the shipping industry. The Gavirias were an undisputed global leader and that achievement produced an easy arrogance within the family. Carlos had no worries about his future, not entirely. He was secure financially and the Gavirias who would come after him, were also secure but to say he was without concerns would be a lie. Expectations and perfection. Failure was never an option for Carlos’ father but more than that, those around them had their own perceptions. Attractive, charming, and intelligent, Carlos had many roles to fill, not only as his father’s intended heir but also as the center of attention and social ringmaster for associates and friends.

Pleasing his father was important. Disappointment resonated with the older Gaviria and often led to increased pressure, which resulted in increased hours and added stress. Carlos wanted freedom, not necessarily from his father’s control or the responsibilities that came with the position he’d one day take. No, Carlos desired the freedom to be someone other than the next Gaviria to be in charge. 

His first trip to Los Sueños, only increased those desires. It wasn’t the night life or the sandy beaches, of course he enjoyed his visits and the people he met on every trip, however, Carlos saw potential in the island. There was money to be made, possibly more than the Gavirias anticipated making from the shipping industry. The island was covered with tourists. Each and every one of them seeking a good time. A few of them found parties and indiscretions they would like to forget the next morning, but none of them rivaled the parties he always hosted upon his arrival. Carlos constantly had to turn people away. Where there was demand, there was potentials to profit from your profit and in this case, Carlos and his popularity were the product. 

He couldn’t do it on his own, not with growing demand and increased number of tourists flooding Los Sueños’ shores and that was how The Hosts were born.

It’s hard to identify the exact moment Bradford Lowe fell in love with numbers. A case could be made for the early days of primary school and the jumbo crayon held by awkward fingers as he drew the outline of the number five and colored it in. Perhaps it was the discovery of mathematical constant of 3.14 equals pi. Whatever was the underlying cause, Bradford Lowe loved numbers. Childhood with Bradford was interesting -- Counting contests involving the horses in the stables and his father’s cars in the garage. Trips up and down the spiral staircase, using fingers and toes to record the number of stairs. He found comfort in numbers and the constants they represented.

Bradford was content with the company his studies and intellectual games provided to him. There was little to no difficulty when it came to making friends. The Lowe name was easily recognized and often associated with wealth. For those who wished to make connections to his parents’ financial empire, the quickest path was by way of their awkward and antisocial child. That path often failed. While awkward, mostly because he stood six feet by the time he was twelve, the antisocial part was self-inflicted because of Bradford’s low tolerance for simple minds and shallow behavior.

This approach to friendships and interactions with others continued throughout his youth and early adulthood. In college, he pledged the same fraternity his father, his uncles, and grandfather had before him. He attended the parties, held various positions with the frat throughout his years, Bradford was even considered popular, but not because of his personality but the perception others had of him. Tall and broad like many of the athletes on campus, Bradford took pride in maintaining his appearance and health but for his own benefit and not the glory of sports. His passion still centered on numbers and intellectual games. It was for that very reason his spare time led him to gambling.

Small wagers on campus sporting events that in the end were profitable for Bradford and his partners. Winnings went to the partners. He had no need for he money, it was the thrill of placing the bet and the satisfaction that came from being correct. He graduated to more sophisticated scenarios, which included a trip to Monte Carlo. This was where he first crossed paths with Juan Carlos Gaviria Sáez. Bradford found him almost as adept at bets as he was, where Garavia did excel, the risk. Fear wasn’t a factor and a few months later, when Bradford became aware of Los Sueños and Carlos’ plans, he took a risk of his own.

Foregoing his father’s plans for him, Bradford took a break from his duties and offered his services to Carlos and The Hosts club free of charge. Where there was risk, there was money, and where there was money, there Bradford Lowe would be. Would he find more than numbers and bets to keep him entertained?

Prince was born a few minutes after his twin brother Pierre. He was much smaller in comparison to his older twin, Pierre. Prince was a sickly child, some of which could be attributed to the twins’ premature births. Delays in development were expected, but it was clear very early on, Prince had always been a few steps behind his twin brother. When Pierre and other kids their age ran and enjoyed playing games outside, Prince spent his days either at the hospital or inside the house. At a very young age, Prince learned to envy Pierre who could do pretty much anything the older twin wanted. Throughout this deep sentiment, he kept to himself, Prince never once felt resentment or hate towards Pierre. If anything, he grew to admire and adore his twin. If their older brother Percival was the epitome of a wholesome man, Pierre was the face of someone who defied convention. Prince’s twin did whatever he wanted to be happy and free attracting attention like a magnet, creating a circle around the older twin that put the young man in the spotlight…

Prince on the other hand spent most of his time alone but even when most child wanted or thrived from multiple friendships, Prince proffered his solitude. A lot of times, he traveled on his own upstate to their lake house whether it be summer or winter. Small county fairs gave him some sense of nostalgia and became one of the hiding places, he frequented often. He found it silly as he’d never been to a fair when he was little. While his brother Pierre connected to the outside world, Prince built his own by connecting to the things that comforted him; walking in the woods, fishing, camping… But the bond between twins was strong. The difference in health only kept Pierre away for a brief period of time. 

By the time they entered high school, the two were inseparable. Prince still thought about and wondered how much Pierre sacrificed just so he was not left behind. Was it a hassle dragging him to every activity Pierre attended? It must have been a headache convincing him to attend parties that a lot of times, he pretended being sick. But Prince realized his brother’s effort and began to appreciate it more and so he made it a point to make an effort too. When Pierre was out and about, he tagged along, usually quiet, standing to the side while his twin took the stage and became the life of the party. He learned to cover for Pierre as well whenever the other twin gets in trouble and their older brother Percival starts questioning him. He tried his best to not get mixed up with Pierre’s shenanigans but it was difficult especially when he wanted to protect his twin and the only way to do it is be part of whatever trouble the other got himself into.

It had always been like that for Prince but he didn’t mind as long as he was with his twin. But when Pierre expressed his desire to join one of his friends’ prestigious club, Prince was doubtful. The time they had to spend away from home was too long. He didn’t like traveling and he definitely disliked being around a lot of people. He could barely handle being in the same room with their parents, how would he deal with 10 other strangers setting rules and telling him what to do? And entertaining thousands of people was definitely out of the question! But here he was at Los Sueños Island, playing Host, all in the name of brotherhood.

Born in New York, New York, Chase had a regular life growing up but his dreams were extra-ordinary. He didn’t want to be trapped working in the family store all his life and his parents would’ve agreed. After all, they’d decided to stay in America to provide their children with a better life and they worked hard to send all of their children, including Chase, to college. But Chase’s dream was beyond breaking a sweat doing work in university or a mundane career. He wanted an easy life where he didn’t have to work as hard as his parents. He saw their struggle and he wanted to break away from what he saw as a never ending cycle. His parents  encouraged Chase to pursue his dreams however, Chase had a particular path he wanted to follow, a secret life he kept from his family. When his parents wanted Chase to go to college for business and management or something similar, Chase was already managing his own little business he’d started up with his childhood best friend and partner, Dae-Ho.

Armed with altered cellphones and laptops, Chase and Dae-Ho or The Brain carried on a life of small-time-criminals. The agenda was simple - Dae-Ho did all the techy-moves and Chase managed their accounts and hid them so no one suspected them of their crimes. They made some cash hacking credit cards online but they had one important rule: they only targeted the rich. When Juan Carlos Gaviria Sáez’s private gatherings began attracting attention, Chase and The Brain knew that it was time to catch a bigger fish.

Hacking into The Hosts’ system wasn’t too difficult for Chase and Dae-Ho. They claimed the Club’s security system was no match for their talent and there were truths to it as they’ve been successful targeting the prestigious Club. They started profiting from stealing tickets and spots from the Club and eventually, they moved on to removing money from the Hosts’ funds.

It didn’t take long before Carlos, the founder of the Hosts Club paid Chase and Dae-Ho a visit at their tiny headquarters, Dae-Ho’s apartment in Queens. Apparently, Stanek and his team had been monitoring Chase and Dae-Ho’s criminal activities but instead of sending the hooligans to jail, he proposed that they both work for him, to the couple’s surprise. Dae-Ho was against the idea but Chase saw an opportunity to rise up and finally make the big move he’d been wanting. This was an opportunity, he tried to convince Dae-Ho. They’d ‘work’ for Carlos but still do their own thing. The opportunities were endless and possibilities to swindle the rich, were countless. They’d also have a chance of mingling with the elite hosts and clients, increasing their chances for more scams and profits. That was enough to finally convince Dae-Ho to give in.

A couple of months later, Chase, together with Dae-Ho, arrived in Los Sueños where the Hosts gathered for their big events. They began working as part of the Club’s main staff but both kept their minds and energy focused on their own personal agenda. But once things start getting a bit too crazy and wild in the island, Chase couldn’t help getting caught in all the mess and drama and it made him think, was it worth it working for the Hosts?

Does perfection strike twice? If you were to ask Pierre Bauer, the answer would easily be yes and he and his twin brother were the only example needed to confirm those words as fact. Perfection was what was delivered on August 21, 1996. Two baby boys with matching fingers, toes, and noses. Two baby boys with extremely different temperaments. The oldest by two minutes and thirty three seconds, Pierre was both protector and negative influencer of Prince throughout their childhood. Without his interference, Prince would have been the perfect boring angel their parents desired. Instead Pierre had proven to be the proverbial devil on his brother’s shoulder, coaxing him to engage in activities that would lead to their family’s looks of judgment and disappointment. He was determined, not only to elevate his parent’s level of irritation, he was desperate to ensure his brother didn’t live a sheltered life because of his illnesses and fears. Whispers and looks of disdain did little to deter him from his plan of corruption.

Pierre simply did not care did not care about the unwelcome opinions of his parents, their friends, or business associates. Pleasing others had never been a priority. He was a defiant child, prone to temper tantrums and displays of stubbornness, showcased by the days and nights he refused to eat until his parents caved and honored his demands. He was also more than the spoiled brat many had labeled him to be. He’d inherited his father’s intellect and his mother’s beauty and from some branch on their family tree, an ounce of athletic ability. People were drawn to Pierre. Some enamored with his I don’t give a fuck attitude and other’s with his sarcasm. Existence in Pierre’s presence was never boring.

His behavior caught everyone’s attentions - His parents, Percival, and of course Prince. He always pulled his brother along for the ride but it was a new source of influence, Juan Carlos Gaviria Sáez, who encouraged Pierre to use his natural talents for more than riotous parties in the Hampton’s.  He was nineteen when his feet first touched the shores of Los Sueños. He was mesmerized by the island and everything it had to offer but it was Carlos, the control, the laughter, the energy, Pierre wanted all of that and more. It took him two years to convince not only Carlos but Prince that they should do more than just visit the island. He wanted to be a host but only if Prince was in agreement and Carlos would accept both twins.

At 21, Pierre, along with his brother Prince, the twins are two of the youngest hosts. Filled with self confidence and ambition, Prince had no doubt they wouldn’t just be the youngest but the best hosts Los Sueños had seen.
