Converted Bloodstoker with leftover Plague Marine parts. If I played 40k Proper I’d probably run him as a “Master of Executions” or something.
WIP. I won a squad of Chaos Space Marines on ebay a while back. One of them had a weird pose, so I justified it with a chiken from the 1:35 Tamiya Livestock kit.
My Plague Champion. Head is from the sadly discontinued and very goofy “Deadwalker Zombies” by Games Workshop (I don’t remember why I had that head in my bits box).
Some tabletop terrain I built. Found some Pharaoh Minion key-chains at the dollar store. I assume, with what little I know about the Minions, that these were originally Minions who served Pharaoh during the Exodus? It was all just a little too weird for me to not use as terrain.

The Looming Presence CHICO is complete. Satin Lacquer all over, high gloss floor polish in the eyes.
It is 1:06 am, do you know where your God is? Because he is not here.
WIP shot of nightmare cat.
I bought a smiling cat statue from a thrift shop near-by. It creeps me out, so I’m going to lean into that.
my “unusual call box” fallout build. still needs a dead grass tuft.

I’ve purchased some varied miniatures from a third party reseller. I’m looking forward to getting to paint and later post some odds and ends some time soon.
One day paint. I am a little annoyed that I didn’t remove the moldlines, but I’m otherwise pretty proud of how this guy turned out, and on the table the lines aren’t nearly so obvious. Quick backstory for a quick paint. He was a cop before the apocalypse. Without the state to legitimize the police’s monopoly on violence they became an organized street gang. This guy mutated into a pig-man and was cast out from the human supremacist police. He later joined a particularly violent mutant gang.
I’ve not posted my two latest projects as I haven’t had the lighting for decent photography. I painted another semi-botched cast, this time of Riker from Star Trek TNG, and I am, as we speak, casting a Venkman action figure.
So, I’ve been experimenting with Oyumaru, a japanese thermo plastic that ban be used to make molds of things. I cast a Scotty from Star Trek action figure my dad owns. It came out botched, but since errors should always be inspiration I decided it would be a damaged statue. I had tried to paint it using a stone tutorial I found online but is came out looking more like old bronze, so I watered down some dark gold paint (for the shiny metallic flakes that paint contains) and then using the water-gold mix to cut some Agrax Earthshade wash. I followed that up with a 1:1 mix of gold and burnt umber paint that, using a toothpick, I applied to the highest points (Eyebrows, nose, chin, collar) TL:DR. Tried to paint stone, accidentally painted bronze, embraced my mistake and built on it.
I repainted my very first Warhammer 40k guys. They’re a little lumpy, and the cut black wash I used pooled a little weird, but they look so much better.

I did a test run of my first Space Marines. I used real cheap, real expired old acrylics on this proof of concept (folk art brand from 1998). I’m currently stripping them and am looking forward to using much better modelling paints.
