Madame Novra's Séance Set (Paranormal)

Like usual, I decided to have my sims follow some new path in the game, and I couldn't really find existing cc which filled the need - so I made some new things!

In the Paranormal Stuff Pack, there's a crystal ball and a séance table - they are separate items, but if you have the crystal ball on the table when you use the table to do séance/ghost stuff, the crystal ball has animations.

I have made two crystal balls/ball stands that are based on real Victorian examples I have seen.

The first is the main ball, with 11 swatches in metal:

The second I have called the "back-up", which is in 4 wood swatches; the idea being that this one is a travel one, or just a cheap one on a shelf or somewhere that can be accessed quickly (in my imaginary scenario) - I have seen a lot of antique examples in this sort of shape:

The final item of the set is the séance table itself - which is required in order for everything to work; I have taken a table from the Life and Death expansion, and converted it into a functioning séance table with the Paranormal Stuff Pack; this comes in 11 different swatches (includes a couple new ones I've made with a more detailed wooden table-top):

All the séance tables I could find already had a tablecloth attached to it - so this one does not, this way you can decide whether or not to add your own from your build/buy catalogue, or leave it.

When deciding on names, I decided to check archives to see if I could find some exotic name. I found an 1861 newspaper clipping from Lyttleton (South Island, Aotearoa New Zealand), titled "The Mysteries of Spiritualism", telling of a Mrs. Marshall and her niece having séances in London, producing some wonderful feats of spiritualism - long story short: Mrs. Marshall was exposed as a fraud by none-other than a Mr. Novra. Mrs. Marshall wasn't the name I was really looking for! So I chose Madame Novra instead 🤣

Mod Collection: Genetics Overhaul!

This is a collection of mods that completely change the game's genetics.

Makes genetic inheritance from grandparents possible (TS4 doesn’t support this, in case you didn’t know)

Remembers natural hair and eye colors, so your Sims can dye their hair and wear colored contact lenses without affecting their genetics

Better Inheritance

This mod enforces stricter inheritance rules.

The exact skin tone is inherited, not just an approximate one of the same category (cool / warm / neutral)

Parents’ skin colors do not blend: either one or the other is inherited

Archetype (race) is taken into account when inheriting skin, hair, and eye to minimize weird combinations like dark-skinned Asians with white hair

No Weird Age Up and Random Genetics

TLDR; this mod fixes the ugliness :D

No more small chins

Fixes the odd placement of facial features, especially the eyes and mouth

For many sliders, randomness is limited or completely disabled

Affects both NPC generation and aging

All modules from this collection are independent and don't conflict with each other!
