Lower lip trembling as her mouth covers Ashaf's while they stand in an alleyway, it was a bold move on her part--But it's one that's in an effort to maintain their cover lest the town guards find them as they rush past. "Will... you be quiet now?" Tessa's voice comes out breathy, but also at a higher pitch, even if she does everything in her power to keep the volume low. Give her a minute, that took all of her willpower and courage to manage.
An eyebrow raised slightly at the surprisingly forward move by Tessa, even if it was to maintain their cover. "My, my, Ms. Ardere I might need another prompting to be silent, especially something so incredibly bold." He replied, a small smirk forming on his lips as he looked down at her with both an amusement and a certain.. hunger.
At that, Altessa blinked once, perhaps twice. That laugh had certainly caught her off-guard, but more than that--The positive reception. While the girl felt her own conclusions to be reasonable, seldom were the times that anyone felt the same on that matter. It was a pleasant surprise to say the least, one that leaves her at a loss for words.
"You... don't dislike how I answered?"
Her ears had perked up at that, moreso as Obey's starry eyes glimmered. How rare it was, to meet someone who preferred to only come to a conclusion after all variables were set before them. It brings Altessa to a pause, before she finally manages to bring herself to speak up whilst her shoulders finally grew more lax and her gaze softer.
"--Yes, I think so too. I'll be sure to watch you run, Miss Obey."
"Not in the slightest! I mean predictions aren't bad in moderation but after a while they get so dull because it's almost always the big names being pushed, so your answer is a big breath of fresh air!"
Obey grinned a bit before her tail flicked a bit as she watched the other's posture relax. It seemed like she was the type to be reserved until there might be something to relate on or that catches her interest. After a moment a thought crosses her mind.
"Actually Altessa-senpai, I have a bit of a request if you'll indulge me. I was thinking of getting a bit more of a proper feel for the Japanese turf before the Japan Cup. Now if you are someone unfamiliar with the subject of my past couple polls you might be wondering "What is Nikke? What is the story? Why is the mun screaming "EEEEEEEENTERTAINMENT!!!" at me?" Well firstly to the last question I simply have to say that-
DO NOT QUESTION ME, TRUST THE PROCESS.
Anyway for the other questions you might have the aim here is to give an easy to understand introduction to the world of Goddess of Victory: NIKKE brought to you by moi, while avoiding major spoilers so that if you find what I tell you interesting you might check it out for yourselves. Ready? Then let's go below the cut!
In the world of NIKKE sometime in the future the Earth is set upon by a mysterious race of machines called the Raptures. Led by a mysterious Queen the Raptures come in a variety of forms with several different classifications ranging from simple Husks all the way to Tyrant. The Raptures proceeded to steamroll mankind, to where, even with the various governments coming together along with their militaries they were still getting dog walked. Thus the various most brilliant minds humanity had began working on a project to create super soldiers that could fight the Raptures, the procedure involving taking human brains and placing them into robotic bodies.
The initial testing revealed that men as a whole were not suited to the procedure with every male test subject suffering before dying a death. Thus the procedure would focus on women until eventually the first successful 'Nikke' was produced. Eventually more Nikke would be produced but the Raptures remained a grave threat and ultimately humanity was forced to retreat into a vast underground city known as the Ark. After the Ark was sealed the Central Government would set up an academy to train Commandants/Commanders who would lead squads of Nikke into battle. We wake up as one such Commandant and are ultimately placed in charge of a squad known as Counters.
From there the Commandant and Counters must take on dangerous missions and both fight the Rapture threat on the surface, while dealing with corruption and threats from within, because even with potential extinction looming on the horizon humanity cannot help themselves. With that you use in-game resources to recruit more Nikke and form five woman squads to take on the main story, events, and other challenges as they come.
Then there's the Pilgrims, Nikke not connected to any of the Big Three and often act independently on the surface. These Nikke tend to be connected to the past and tend to follow their own methods for combatting the Rapture threat. Though they might operate differently they still ultimately fight the common enemy that are the Raptures. And you, the Commandant, can aim to recruit Nikkes from each of these factions. Oh and there's also Abnormals but they're not actually Nikkes but the classification given to recruitable characters from crossover collaborations with other franchises like Neon Genesis Evangelion, Chainsaw Man, and Nier: Automata among others.

Tachyon scanned over the equipment she had set up, red eyes picking up on every detail to make sure it was all in working order. Once she was certain that everything was ready her smile widened as she stepped back, sleeves waving slightly with each step. Her gaze turned to the tall nurse of Tracen, tilting her head a bit.
"Thank you again for agreeing to volunteer for testing Grey-sensei. And don't worry as per our agreement these test will be completely non-invasive."
She would speak, her voice holding its usual energy as she moved to her laptop, the sound of keys clacking filling the room. She was quite excited to study Grey Stokes and her strong musculature, especially given how much the nurse promoted healthy living. Perhaps within the data she'd gain there'd be information that would get her one step closer to her goal. With a brief glance towards her own legs she turned back to Grey Stoke, bright smile on.
