“Yeah, I know.“ Adelaide hummed and kissed his neck. “I found our Home Alone house! Ready to take a tour and hopefully sign some paperwork?“

Her energy was infectious and Monty found himself getting psyched up about the house. “I am completely ready. I’m sure everything is perfect.”

The second he mentioned an engagement ring all thoughts of turning him away vanished. “There’s no need, I can stay a bit longer. And yes, I do make customs pieces for people,” pulling the key from her pocket she unlocked her workshop again, “Did you have something in mind?”

Monty let the breath he was holding go, and followed the magic user back into her shop. “I’m not sure. I know she likes gold, most of her jewelry is that color, but I kind of came here more on a whim.”

“It’s ok,” she assured him as he apologised. “What is it?” Nat asked, setting aside her cup of tea before dumping the empty container from her lunch into the bin.

Monty placed the file down on her desk. “Just some confessions Sirius needed me to drop off before I went home. I guess the ADA is out of town for the week, but he said you’d know what to do with everything.”

“Someone slipped in puke? I told you we should have going to Sweden or Portugal.“

“Yeah, I did. Like 30 minutes before you showed up.” He picked up one of his feet and looked at the bottom. “I guess the snow is helpful in one way.” Monty snorted. “Yeah except they wouldn’t have covered for us. Plus I hit up Portugal when I was buying the spell books about 7 years ago. I’m sure he’s already checked there.”

“Or you could have radio over to me. You know, your partner for the night. Addie is going to give me hell for that.“

Monty waved him off. “It’s fine. What did you end up finding in there?” He nodded to the bar they were called to.

“Who patched you up? They did a shit job…“

“I did it myself. No reason to stand in the massive line at the emergency clinic for a black eye and cut.”

“I don’t know… I think we look like a couple of badasses. You should have seen the random tasmanian devil I took down.“

Monty gave her smile and kiss on the head. “Much more badass than slipping in puke. What is with Americans and this holiday?”

In her office

“I’m just finishing my lunch but please do come in,” she said to the person hovering in the doorway.

“I was supposed to meet with someone to give me info but shit hit the fan and I had to show them who’s boss.”

“Can you take me to my dad’s house? Alexus will murder me.”

“Did shit hit the fan because you tried shooting at them?”

“Apology accepted but you really should be more careful,” Isabetta assessed the man before her. He seemed on edge. 

“I will be in the future... Uh, do you know if the club has a different way out?”

Ebony shrugged and shook her head. “No. I wasn’t even supposed to be out here.” She wriggled in the cuffs, trying to figure out how to take them off. 

“Then why were you here?”

“Are you saying all witches and warlock are the same? Doesn’t the academy teach you about speciesism?“ Emmett’s voice and facial features showed that he was offended but he couldn’t careless; he didn’t want to deal with Kudzai or Ronan; especially if she was what he thought she was. “I’m over 500 and I stop aging in my mid 20′s. Do I look like a 26 year old to you because I can’t tell age when it comes to people like me… Maybe 24 to 36 but 25-40 is more accurate.“ Emmett sighed. 

“I would mention that she is extremely dangerous and not to be approached. Maybe for someone to reach out to me or one of the Council members when she’s found. That’s the thing, everything pointed towards an elemental user but baby has a arcane kick to her. Maybe creation or animation but she has to know a few elemental spells or cruses… Meaning she a young uncontrolled badass that found out she had magic and started practicing on her own. Where you here for the 1926 magically incident? That! That is why I need to get outta here.“

“Do you really think the academy teaches specieisim?” Monty rolled his eyes, and repeated the 25-40 number into the radio. “Why am I putting in an APB for this woman, if we’re not supposed to approach her? Can we call anyone on the council or only the witches?”

“Fine… Take me to Isaac,“ Duke sighed. “You wont believe me… But I didn’t say I was set up. I said you got the wrong person. I’m Duke, you’re looking for my twin brother, Aries.“

“You have a twin brother.” Monty stared at him in the mirror, in disbelief.”

Isabetta was walking through the club, keeping her eye on someone when she collided with someone stepping out of one of the booths. “Oh!” it didn’t cause her to loose her balance in the slightest but she took a step away so the wasn’t so close to the man

Monty grabbed the edge of the booth, swearing, as he realized the collision brought more attention to him .”Sorry,” he offered gruffly to the woman.
