Jedi Knights and Masters

This is one of the things that I really love about the Jedi and what I’m really excited about when it comes to the High Republic concept art and covers that we’ve seen–there’s a strong focus on a variety of different races, which the Jedi have always been incredibly inclusive of. From the first time we see the Jedi Council in The Phantom Menace, we see this entire array of different species, all these different shapes and sizes and colors.  It’s a great way to immediately tell us that the Jedi are very much not about homogeneity, but instead it’s about showing the diversity of them. That, yes, the characters have a similar aesthetic–because that’s how you convey a culture through visuals–but they’re all wearing different outfits.  It’s the same with the High Republic, we look at them and we immediately know they’re Jedi, they use a lot of warm earth tones again for them, but they’re all unique to themselves. I love it because,  yes, a Jedi can and always has been able to come from anywhere.  It doesn’t matter what your species is, it doesn’t matter what class you came from, it doesn’t matter what your gender or sex are, none of it matters, because Jedi come from important places and nowhere places and it’s all just as (not) meaningful as the next. That’s always how the Force has worked with those who are Sensitive to it and how the Jedi have worked, that it pops up everywhere and, as long as the Jedi can find you and as long as you want to stay, that’s good enough for them. PERSONALLY I AM DYING TO KNOW IF THAT’S THE FUCKING DARKSABER UP THERE WITH THE ONE IN WHAT LOOKS LIKE A BURQA, PLEASE TELL ME EVERYTHING ABOUT THEM, I AM READY TO LOVE THEM.  ARE THEY MANDALORIAN?  DID THEY JUST HAVE A SABER THAT LOOKS LIKE THE DARKSABER?  DID THEY GET THE DARKSABER FROM SOMEONE?  TELL MEEEEEEE. ALSO THAT’S A FUCKING LOTHWOLF THERE, IS IT FRIENDLY WITH ONE OF THE JEDI?  THEY’VE SOMETIMES HAD PETS (like Dooku: Jedi Lost has Lene with her pet convor) DOES ONE OF THEM HAVE A LOTHWOLF THAT FOLLOWS THEM AROUND?? I AM ALSO INTERESTED IN THE MIRIALIAN GIRL AND THE BLUE TWI’LEK LADY AND WHATEVER’S GOING ON WITH THE GLOWY LADY WITH THE DOUBLE SKEWER SABER.  AND OF COURSE THE WOOKIEE JEDI, WHO MAY NOT BE THE FIRST ONE, BUT I WILL LOVE HIM REGARDLESS. I WANT TO LOVE THEM ALLLLLLLL.
