How many of you remember that story going around about how Heidi Klum saved her son and his nanny from drowning in the ocean and all anyone could focus on were the paparazzi photos of her nip slip during the incident? Or when Billie Eillish was photographed walking down the street in a tank top and all anyone could talk about was how much they didn't like the way she looked as if the big issue here was with the way her body looked instead of with the camera person taking a nonconsensual picture of a minor, a minor who had made it very clear she never wanted anyone to see her body without baggy clothes on because of how our society instantly sexualizes any female presenting body no matter how young the person is?

How is being a paparazzi even fucking legal? Like it's literally just legalized stalking. Half the shit we know about these celebrities personal lives was learned without those celebrities consent. I mean if there was an entire group of people following you around day in and day out, waiting outside your home, following your car wherever it went, taking pictures of you while you do literally anything and everything you would call the fucking cops, because those people are stalking you. So how the fuck have we convinced ourselves this is somehow normal and healthy for celebrities to go through? I get that they aren't necessarily the most at risk group of people, but they're still human beings and they don't deserve to be stalked just because of the career they've chosen. And especially when they're a minor, paparazzi are literally allowed to sit and wait outside the houses of literal fucking children and take photographs of them any time they step outside their homes, CHILDREN, just because they're a celebrity
