Uhh…..no, sir. I don’t. We’ve all been trying to think of a way to escape for months, and nothing so far has worked. Sometimes people come and go at random. We….still haven’t found a reason why that happens, though.

[He looks away nervously, reminded of how suddenly Katyusha left. He still hasn’t really gotten over it, although he has somewhat come to terms with it.]

…Why, do you think you’d be able to get us all out of here? I wouldn’t count on it. Seems pretty hopeless, if you ask me…not that I want to leave in the first place. This place is way nicer than the shithole I lived in.

” I’m not that childish, Hawkeye. If I’m here i better lighten up. We’ll be stuck here for awhile.  [ Mustang disliked the fact he’s being talked down to, being called “childish”. He did think she had a point though,

“Do what you want, sir,” she said. “I just think that — seeing as we’re stuck here — it would be best to make allies, and not enemies.” 

She wasn’t his babysitter - although occasionally she felt like she was supposed to be. He could on occasion act like a grandstanding egomaniac. And though she knew that there was more to it than that, sometimes it was up to Riza to keep him from getting into trouble.

" I know Hawkeye, I said I will do my best. No problem." Did she really see me as as childish? Well, I guess I'm a little bit annoying sometimes, but still. She can really act as though she's my father or something, she needs to relax a bit. I don't get in to trouble to much, right? All these thoughts swarmed his brain. Even though Hawkeye was a bit of a stick in the mud, he knew he could get much of anywhere without her.

She had said to not dignify their ridiculousness with a response, but that was before Edward had threatened to punch her superior in the face. 

“Edward, please don’t punch the colonel in the face because he’s being ridiculous.”

“And sir, it might be a good idea not to antagonize everyone you meet. Just a thought.” 

“I’m not the only one being ridiculous am I? Of course Hawkeye, I’ll try and tone it down” [ He gave a pleasant smile to Hawkeye, but he knew he would continue bugging Edward, no doubts.]
