So we know that this type of wood activates its properties to bring palisman to life, which can be considered a sentient being (as they have feelings, moods, free will, etc)

So you might use a chunk of it and carve out a figure that resembles an humanoid... But would them be considered a person?

Even though palisman passes the test of "it's alive and have feelings" and even know how to communicate with other creatures through a limited language code, it is way closer to a smart pet than an actual person, you know what I mean?

Just because it has the appearance of a person, it doesn't mean it'll develop a complex conscience and the ability to learn idioms and more... I guess

And it raises a lot of ethical questions: would you treat this woody guy as person because it looks like one? But what about the other palisman?

I'm almost sure someone has already tried it, but it was such a disturbing experience it got banished right away and nobody ever spoke about it again;

She's bigger and way more "complex" than the other ones (she has kids, which is something I would really like an explanation to)

My theory is that she's either made of another special material long gone from the Boiling Islands (or forgotten, as it seems just a select few know she's a palisman) or the sculpt technique used in average palisman is different, therefore allowing this intelect stretch

by og palisman i mean like she could have been lonely being the only palisman so she took it upon herself to make friends, and then witches found out that they could also make palismen

but like wouldnt it be cool if she was actually just cursed to be a palisman for being a wild witch? ik that they have the paralyzing stone or whatever but what if she like retaliated
