The above lines are written by the Youtuber who acted in this short film. Prajakta Koli, also known as, Mostly Sane on Youtube is a creator who makes funny videos. A total Entertainer for sure, I would say.

In the half-an-hour short film, she plays the role of a girl from a very small village in India with old thoughts and ideas- often thought of conservative thoughts. She, however, has a dream to be on the team, this single dream of hers maybe very trivial for us. But there are these small things every person wishes for in their lives and Asha’s dream is very big to her. In her small village, with a small dream, Asha experiences heartbreak too but doesn’t lose her enthusiasm. She is ready to do anything to get into the team. 

The video maybe very short and sweet but it’s heart touching and really fills everyone with joy in the end. A cute, short and, child-ish dream majority of thee girls in villages in India have. It gives out such a big message. We hope and pray for Asha’s qualities. May every girl and every boy in the world learn from Asha. Her hardworking nature and her commitment are two qualities that are extremely important for us to grow up and be successful with. 

In conclusion, I will definitely advice you guys to go watch it, wherever you are from, a deeply inspiring and heart-touching video. I’d rate it a 10/10. And it can be watched by all age-groups.

Hello lovely readers, It has been a long time since I blogged and so I decided...

Movie: THAPPAD Genre: DRAMA Age: It’s given a U so, It can be watched by all age groups. My Rating: 9/10

Before I start talking about the plot of the movie, I really wanted to say all the actors’ performance in the movie has been beyond words can appreciate. The fact that this movie was made shows how much we have progressed as a ‘society’.  Now as the title suggests- “thappad” means ‘Slap’ when translated from Hindi to English, the movie is about ‘A Slap’.  And the lead actress is Taapsee Pannu who plays thre role of Amrita, a family-loving housewife, who follows a monotous daily schedule. But that was uptil her husband slapped her in a party. This made her realise her worth and how much she could have progressed as an individual person had she not become a housewife. How does a loving marriage turn into a large form of hatred ? Why are women always told to be the bigger person in a marriage ? Why does one have to accept that men do the mistakes and women have to push their feelings down? 

Its wrong for a man to slap a women AND vice-versa. Its not because she’s a woman and is not strong to hit a man but because there should be ever-lasting respect between a man and a women. Its wrong when a man slaps a woman and she is told to compromise. Why is it said “Ek thappad, bas itni si baat!” ?Literally translated to “One slap, Such a small matter”. No, it’s unacceptable. It’s not a small matter. It is wrong by all means. Whether it was a girl or a boy or a man or a woman slapping the other, it was wrong. Unless there was something illegal being done, you are not allowed to raise your hands on the other person, even if it is your wife, husband, boyfriend or girlfriend or anybody else. Unless the person is not attacking you physically in ways you are uncomfortable with, you don’t raise hands on them. Self-defense is an acceptable reason. No other excuse works. 

I know I shouldn’t have to explain this but, there are a lot of people out there who think it’s completely okay to slap someone and walk away happily. Every human on this earth should be aware of this. Respect should be the highest priority between all genders-  be it male,female and even transgender. Afterall, its a quality that separates us from animals. Because, dear readers, we are the future and we should ensure we instill the basic fundamental of respect between the existing generations and the upcoming ones.

The Fault In Our Stars

Review:

The movie “The Fault In Our Stars” is based book written by John Green going with the same title. The story is about two teenagers- Hazel Green Lancaster (Shailene Woodley) and Augustus Waters (Angel Elgort)- both fighting their own cancers. Slowly, life-loving and joyful Augustus and sad and lonely Hazel, fall in love. Taking each other’s pains away, except one that is meant to take their lives. They decide to go meet someone who holds great importance in Hazel’s life. They grow, live a little, learn to love, have a sweet little adventure of their own. But what happens when things so horribly wrong? How do Augustus and Hazel survive? Watch the movie to know better.

My View: John Green is one of my favourite authors, he may write depressing books but every book has a deep meaning in it that somehow makes me wonder less about ‘Loss’. I think it’s a very absurd concept. How does a living walking, talking, loving, caring, human being just stop doing all those things all at once? How does one cease to exist? Coping up with loss is one of the most difficult tasks I know. And though all his books have a small part of loss and pain in them, he never makes us forget about laughter and love. He shows us how people cope with loss.This book is no different. I absolutely love both the movie and the book. Augustus is such a wise character, Hazel on the other end is no different. Green makes us fall in love with each word he has written, with every character he made. And that’s the beauty of being a writer and reading a book, you laugh and cry and love and hate but you always come out of a book, full of joy and love or tears in your eyes and anger about the ending. I think it’s all worth it. Watch and read and grow, lovely readers, it’s a true privilege :-)

Age Rating: 16+ Genre: Comedy Drama My Rating: 9.0 / 10

The Netflix Series NEVER HAVE I EVER is a story narrated by John McEnroe about a 16 year old South- Indian girl- Devi Vishwakumar(Maitereyi Ramakrishnan). After facing the terrifying loss of her most beloved family member and facing problems due to shock, she decides how she wants to spend the rest of her year. After making the decision she faces problems with her mother (Poorna Jagannathan) and her two very-smart-and-similar bestfriends Eleanor (Ramona Young) and Fabiola( Lee Rodriguez). While trying to pursue her crush she loses her path but soon finds where she belongs and learns a lifetime-worth of lessons. Its a heart warming series that teaches us to pay attention to our family and closest friends instead of losing our path during times of misery. I wouldd definitely suggest all my readers to watch it, its a terrific movie!
