Or being friends with people who exalt progress in their romantic relationships over progress in personal and professional life. As if the latter isn't more important than the former. As if your own progress takes a backseat to what you and your man accomplish.

And I loathe when people "want" something but do nothing or barely anything towards achieving that goal. Your wanting HAS to be followed up by acting in accordance with the want. Planning in accordance with that want. Aligning your life with that want. But to waste that want by doing NOTHING? That's such an uninspiring trait to have.

And as someone who likes to be friends with people I can feel inspired by, you doing nothing DOES NOTHING for me to want me to be motivated build a closer friendship with you. You and I have to be able to support and inspire each other as friends but if you lack the motivation to build the life you want, what can I do besides encourage you to DO the work it will take to get to that reality?! I cannot do that work for you. You have to do that work yourself.
