A Beautiful Blue Wedding Cake
It all started with a miniature version of this cake on the consultation day. I used all my small tins to make taster cakes and stacked them with their sample rose. The bride fell in love with the miniature and wanted a larger version for her cake. This is the final result.
Danni and Nicks Bling Wedding Cake
Danni's theme for her wedding was white, sparkle and pearls. She explained, 'I love all colours so it was so hard to choose one, I thought white would compliment them all!' How right she was, as you moved past everything that was bling all the colours of the rainbow twinkled at you. Genius!
Danni and I had so much fun designing her wedding cake, she confessed that the design 'it was all her' I asked about her fiancé's interests he she explained that he was a Tennis addict. I asked, 'how about we make a tennis ball pearl and hide it amongst the flowers?' Danni agreed that that was a great idea. If you look closely at the photos you can see it peaking out.
I really enjoyed making this cake. There were a lot of firsts for me whilst designing it. The bow, when Danni expressed a desire for one on her cake, took some research and a steep learning curve to make one. The tennis ball was a first too. Full of white chocolate I was very pleased with the outcome.
All in all a fabulous cake, so much fun to make. I miss it already. Now onto the next one. Woohoo.

A Double Celebration
A first request for a ‘naked’ cake from a client as her son didn’t really like sweet things so I suggested red velvet with a cream cheese frosting. I was told he had some, well you’ve always got to celebrate with cake!
Also her mum was celebrating her birthday so she asked for some cupcakes to go under. Her mums favourite were sweetpeas I was told. When she was secretly asked her favourite flowers she replied ‘but dear, I love all flowers!’ So I made as many different flowers as I could.
An Engagement Cake for Hannah and Chirag
Approached by Hannah's sister to make a surprise Engagement cake. We discussed the topper and thought it would be amusing to make caricatures of them getting engaged. They we on a beach at the time, so this is why they are in their swimmys. Later Hannah approached me herself request cupcakes. So a double whammy of cakes for the event.
