While wandering around the library for automation books, Flo spotted Mathew. After a few minutes of thinking, she walked over.

He looks up from the bag he was looking through, “oh, hello” he gives a small wave
“… What’s your name?” She fiddled with her sleeve.
“Oh, my names Mathew… yours?” He asks
“I’m Flo. This is Galatea.” She gestured to her dragon who was peeking out from behind her. Galatea grumbled, watching the interaction.
“Nice to meet you, this is ezerick” he smiles, pulling a small dragon from his bag
“Nice to.. meet you too. … What are you doing here?”
Galatea tilted her head, her tail swaying slightly in greeting.
“Oh! I was just checking my bag before going outside” he smiles
Ezerick chirps lightly and wags his tail slowly in greeting
“Okay. … … I- came here to look- for books.” She frowned, realizing it sounded- ridiculous; Of course someone would go to the library for books, why would they go otherwise?
Galatea grumbled again, and narrowed her eyes as if studying Ezerick.
Ezerick wriggles out of Mathew’s hands and slowly falls to the ground as if slowed, then hops slightly over to galatea, bowing his head slightly
“Oh, there’s a lot of books here… I guess that would make sense though so… um.. yeah” he nods
Galatea poked Ezerick with a claw, thinking the slow fall was due to his wings. She thought he was an odd dragon when he bowed his head.
“Mh… What are you… planning to do outside..?”
He nips at the claw and sits back, looking at the dragon with a small chirp.
“Just exploring, I heard of these towers… I was kinda hoping of finding one” he shrugs
“Towers? Where..?”
She jumped, lashing her tail around.
He chirps and just sits back,
“I’m not sure, but I heard they were meant to protect areas, I was gonna look for the one near the capitol I think” he nods
“Alright…” She fiddled with her sleeve. “If it’s.. not a ridiculous request- could I go with you…?”
Galatea looked at Flo and then back at him. She chirped, questioning what he was doing.
“Sure” he nods with a smile
Ezerick just rumbles and lays down
“Okay.. Uh- Which way do we go…?”
Galatea just stared, unamused.
“Hmm, I think towards the capitol?” He says, lifting ezerick like a cat and placing him in his bag
She nodded, “Uh.. Lead the way..” She picked up Galatea.
He nods and starts walking
Flo followed, glancing around some.
It’s not longer before they are outside, Mathew squints at the horizon to try and spot a tower
Flo scanned the horizon, mostly focusing on trying to spot tall buildings. That caused her to take notice of things like bell towers or the windmill.
“… Have you had any luck…?” She asked some moments later.
“Yeah… there I think” he points
She looked in the direction he pointed. “Is that a giant crystal…? Why’s it- floating?”
“I don’t…. Know” he frowns
She continued staring, trying to figure it out in her mind, to no luck.
“Welp, let’s go find out” he shrugs
Flo started walking more so in the direction of the tower, now that they could see it.
Mathew follows, watching around as they walked
“… … Have you heard if there’s anything- in the tower…?”
“Not… really?” He says, he’d only heard that they might have been what was protecting the capitol and the academy
“Maybe there’s… a telescope?” She guessed.
“Uuh, maybe?” He says
She fiddled with her sleeve, “Or maybe more crystals? Or a ritual circle- to make the giant crystals float?”
He nods, “those would make sense”
