Hearing him comment about how his teacher was a snooze, she laughed softly, nodding her head. “Well, lots of teachers are boring. I mean, they get paid regardless of whether or not they’re fun or boring so, it doesn’t really matter to them.” Rose shrugged lightly, before letting out a sigh. “The Cold War, huh? I’m not going to lie to you but, that’s not necessarily the most interesting topic in the world but, alright. We’ll get you all ready for that quiz tomorrow,” she murmured with a smile. “You’re welcome, I guess?” Rose gave him another soft smile. “It’s been my pleasure to help you not fail your classes, Landon.” It was true that Rose hadn’t particularly wanted to be a tutor but now that she was one, it wasn’t as horrible as she had thought that it would be.

The words that she said about teachers bad sense to him, but that didn't mean that he didn't have some opinions of his own on the matter. It also wasn't like Landon to hold those opinions back, "Come on, don't they remember what it was like? I bet they hated boring teachers and now they are one. Maybe someone should tell them." Landon nodded his head only half serious. That was never something that he would have the guts to do. "There is no part of history that is interesting. Minus the Renaissance because at least that one is semi interesting." That was the only time that he actually payed attention in a history class, but other then that he used it as a chance to catch up on sleep or homework for another class. "I would have to end up telling myself that F stood for fantastic if that was the case." He knew that he would find a way to get at the very least D's so that he could still graduate, but without the help of Rose he was sure that he would not be on any of teachers good lists. Not that he was on them, but at least they didn't dislike him like they did some of the others. 

It was apparent to him that he was the last person she wanted to talk to due to her mood change the second he helped her. “It’s not whatever,” he murmured softly, shaking his head. “Even if you can handle it, they shouldn’t be doing that to you.” Stephen paused for a short moment, staring at the ground. It was true that what once had been a rather comfortable relationship between the two of them was now strained and it was obvious that both of them knew that. Looking back up at Bridgett, he sighed. “My friends are dicks and for that, I’m sorry. Like I said, I’ll make sure it doesn’t happen again,” he mumbled softly, nodding his head more to himself than anything else. Stephen wasn’t sure what else he could really say to the girl, if he was being honest. It had been ages since they last talked and now, things just seemed a bit awkward.

Finding works to speak to the boy seemed to be more work then she would admit to anyone. She remembered the days when she would tell him about the latest book character she fell in love with and now not a single word wanted to come from her mouth. The things she wanted to say ranged from snarky comments to just hugging him and hoping that it said it all, but she stuck with silence. Bridgett was good with silence. "It's fine, really." The girl finally spoke her voice just above a whisper. Glancing up at him for a brief moment before looking away once more. At least there was one thing they could agree on, his friends were dicks. "Then why are you friends with them?" She practically spat the words at him. "Forget it, it doesn't matter." Shaking her head while keeping her gaze on the book in her arms. "Thanks for your help, but I should go. Wouldn't want anyone getting the wrong idea with you talking to me." Turning around quickly the red head reached down and grabbed her book bag placing it on her shoulder. There wasn't anything left for her to say and she was sure he had more important things to deal with.

It didn’t seem like very long until the door opened and that familiar brunette haired male stood in front of her. Listening to him speak, she giggled softly. “I think that’s probably the nicest thing anybody has said to me all day,” she murmured with a smile. Moving through the door, Rose turned to look at him nodding her head slightly. “Yeah, teachers tend to do that kind of stuff occasionally but, you’ll be okay. We’ll get you all ready and, you’ll probably end up being the only person to ace that quiz. Just be glad it isn’t a complete pop quiz because, then you wouldn’t have time to study at all,” she murmured with shrug. “Alright so, why don’t you tell me what this quiz is on and, we’ll get started studying right away.”

The fact that what he said was the nicest thing worried him slightly, but he pushed it off for the time being. In his mind he would think that people would be nice to her all the time especially since she seems willing enough to help anyone with school if they asked. Closing the door behind her he turned to face her listening as she spoke. "I hope so, because I have been doing more doodling in class instead of actually paying attention as he teaches. In my defiance he is a snooze." Giving a small chuckle at himself. "It's on the Cold War, if that's what that one war is called. I would have flunked out of school by now if it wasn't for you, Rose." Grinning at the girl, knowing that what he said was true, because he didn't have the patience to deal with school work alone. At least she finds ways to make it interesting enough. 

Stephen was walking through one of the patches of grass toward his locker. He had a free block and he really just wanted to start working on some of his homework so that he wouldn’t have to do it after lacrosse practice. On his way toward his locker, he noticed some of his friends picking on a girl who was sat beneath a tree. Getting a closer look at the girl, he noticed that he knew he she was. Bridgett used to be one of his best friends but, of course when they got into high school, they drifted apart. He was more of the popular type while she was more of the stick to herself kind of girl. Quickly, Stephen made his way over to the guys, grabbing the book out of one of the guy’s hands. “C’mon guys, leave her alone.” The guys grumbled a bit but eventually, they walked away. Stephen handed Bridgett back her book and sighed. “I’m sorry about them. They are just really inconsiderate sometimes. I promise that they won’t do it again,” he murmured softly.

There was nothing that the girl could think of to do to get her book back and she was just going to accept them taunting her with it until they got bored. It wasn't as though something like this hadn't happened before and Bridgett had learned long ago that if she didn't do anything they would get bored. Before that could happen she heard a male voice coming up behind them. She recognized it, but she was sure anyone in the school would be able to. Once the others left she got to her feet and reached out to take her book back from Stephen, but didn't look at him. "Thanks." She mumbled bringing her book into her chest. Talking to him was something that she used to be so comfortable with, but now things were different. "It's whatever, Stephen. I can deal with them and their taunts." 

The day was long and boring, as usual for Rose. School came easy to her so she never found herself struggling to keep her grades up or having trouble completing her assignment. Perhaps that was why her parents had urged her to sign up for being a tutor and after weeks upon weeks of telling her to be a tutor, she finally caved. For a while, she didn’t have anyone to tutor but now, she finally had someone to try and point in the right direction. Rose had been tutoring him for a while and she had to admit that she didn’t mind his company. It was surprising to her in a way, however, because she was never the one to really communicate with other people but for some reason, he didn’t irritate her like other people did. Perhaps that was why she continued to tutor him and help him whenever he needed help. Rose had received a message from him earlier that day, stating that he needed help with something. So, as usual, Rose headed over to his house after school and knocked on the door, awaiting an answer.

There was nothing worse for Landon then having to figure out his school work on his own. He had one of the shortest attention spans out there unless something was keeping him entertained. Books and school work never seemed to do that for him though. The only subjects that ever kept his interest were his art classes and those were easy enough for him. Maybe it was because fifteen minutes into it he was able to do what he wanted as long as it went along with the project. Lately the only reason that he was passing his classes was because of Rose. She was always there for him to call upon when he needed help with a subject and he couldn't find enough ways to thank the girl. Things seemed more interesting when she was the one explaining them to him. Hearing a knock on the door the boy rushed over to answer it. Opening it and seeing the brunette standing on the other side he gave a sigh of relieve, "You have no idea how happy I am to see your face." He said moving out of the way to let her in. "My history teacher thought one day to prepare for a quiz would be a good idea."
