The dynamic between these two is one I think about a lot. Both of them are quite the tragic character, heavily affected by generational trauma and the cycle of abuse.

Mary desperately wanted a daughter after being unable to bring herself to raise her first child, but ended up with a son instead- something that could so easily be taken away from her. Doubling down on this supposed-to-be-perfect child, she ended up driving him away instead, sprinkling salt in an already deep and open wound.

Landon has felt burdened by these expectations for most of his life. He was never going to be that perfect child his mother wanted. Under the pressure of everything she wanted, he broke. He ended up running away at 14, leaving his mother distraught and in denial of the underlying truth behind that disappearance.

One of them wants to see the other again more than anything else in the world. One of them would rather be dead than go back.

Day 3 - Siblings, Tragic

This one is an AU that I've gone over a few times in my head that I quite enjoy- it involves werewolfs, the cycle of abuse, identity and confronting those that hurt you or the ones you care about- in this case, goading them to hurt you instead of the teenager you've come to love like a brother, imploring his abusive mother to hurt you like you've hurt him.

What does your OC think others are saying about them behind their back? Is any of this true?

Landon worries about this more than Jinli does. Jinli's long since given up on listening to gossip- most of it is petty, and if they were really bothered by something, they should confront her about it instead of talk shit when she isn't listening. Landon, meanwhile, has significantly more reason to fear people talking behind his back- being a, erm, *missing person* can often do that to you. He's scared of the idea that someone could find out about it, and that people would plan to return him to that house when he isn't listening.

If your OC had to kill someone, how would they do it? If killing is a near-daily occurrence to them, what is their preferred method?

If he *had* to, I think Landon would try to kill as painlessly as possible. His methods would be a little sloppy, but it would get the job done. The guilt would probably haunt him for a long time, though. It would have to be a pretty dire scenario, or he would have to be in a bad mindset....Jinli's done it thrice before. She refuses to talk about it. Just know that the last one truly, *truly* deserved it.

How easily influenced by others is your OC?

Jinli? Not very. She's taken to forging her own path nowadays, and refuses to be influenced by other people as much as possible. 

Describe three of the most important photographs your OC owns.

I'd say out of all of these questions, this is the one where Jinli and Landon's answer's differ the most. Jinli's includes a childhood photo of her parents on a trip, an image of her Arkansas home with a tornado in the background, and a polaroid from the long trip she took with Landon. Meanwhile, he... doesn't really take any photos. Almost all photos of him are from before he ran away, and of course he doesn't really want to associate with that. That, and a mix of gender dysphoria plus the anxiety about the whole missing person thing. So he ends up with a pretty notable lack of important photos. The only photo he actually treasures is probably the aforementioned polaroid.

Describe a mundane day in your OC's life.

I'd say their day usually starts with Jinli waking up. This is usually between 6 and 8 am, leaving her ample quiet time in the morning to cook, clean and do whatever she needs to do while Landon is still unconscious. He wakes up around 10 am at the earliest, with most days tending to be around 12 pm. They usually have lunch at that point, and then the two both do whatever activities they enjoy. Sometimes they'll go out somewhere, sometimes Jinli will run errands. Usually, Landon stays in his room for half of the day, dillydallying on the internet. They converge around 5 and hang out from then up until 10-ish, eating dinner in the meantime. Once it hits 10-11 pm, Jinli gets ready to go to sleep. Landon stays up until 2 am watching videos on the internet until he passes out. Rinse and repeat. They have a schedule!
