It’s always a pleasure to get a few hours with @daveelitch in person. I had my first lesson with Dave in LA 5 years ago & it totally changed the way I played (for the better). Dave’s knowledge of movement, mechanics, technique and making it all musical is unparalleled for me, he is the drummer, teacher, collector and person I aspire to be. Today I got to hang out with one of my drumming heroes: @stanton_moore Now, some people say you should never meet your heroes but Stanton was the best. The lesson was incredible: he’s so passionate, engaging and plays like no one else. We work shopped playing in the cracks to get the Radcliffe beat to sit, mines still a bit too polite but I know what to work on now! @lozzicles and I then trekked down to Snug Harbour to catch up with my good pal @kentville_drums and we caught Stanton’s trio. He played his ass off again! The band was fantastic and Stanton could’ve have been a better host. So, my friends, meet you heroes. If they’re half as awesome as Stanton you’ll never forget it. I haven’t been able to wipe the smile off my face and I doubt I will anytime soon! Thankyou Stanton, you’re the best. 🥁🤙🏼🇺🇸 (at Snug Harbor)

Merry Christmas friends! I hope you’re enjoying yourselves with friends, family, loved ones & doggos. One of my favourite moments of the day was @cal.thommo finally getting to unwrap this beautiful @evettsdrums snare. Cal’s been learning from me for 10 years and he’s a fantastic young man and great drummer. Steve made Cal a drum that he’ll treasure forever, hard to top that. Enjoy it Cal!
